Story: Long ago Edward Elric found himself in his library testing out new ways of time travel not expecting that once he does this there is no way to return to his home...Edward went the chance and took all the neccessary ingrediants to conduct this "time machine". He both invited his Alphonse and Winrey on this trip. Both of them thought it wasnt a good idea until Ed told them "wouldnt it be nice to get away from all the history we have here and try something new?" The hesitaded but...Ed had a puppy face look going and both Alphonse and Win decided to go with his crazy plan. Edward started to build the machine with his alchemy and added the ingredients to the fuelsilage. "Alright...ready?" He said as they both got into the Time machine. Edward claped his hands and with one spark the machine took them through time...1000 years into the future. Noticing all the amazing things (including that edward finally done something so amazing) they decided to head out for the city below. For edward he took a tramcar (yep still had them) up to the mountain side and leaned near the edge thinking...I actually did it. What was amazing is that they really never left their area...in fact it was transformed into a megatropolis with lights far beyond comparison.

Comments: Nice story huh? Now people can ask where I got the idea adding Ed into the picture...anyways this took a few days to do...you can say this was speedart. Everything you see here was all from default brushes, like the city which I used chalk for them and I also did the lights with the chalk brushes as well. The planets are new I was going with a new taste and taking my time in doing them...and BOY did they look awsome when I finished it. What really impressed me was the nebula and the colors that I just mixed around and experimented. As for the clouds you know me cloud brushes and distorting them into my own so that they look pretty. As for the others I can say all in all this was just a beautiful piece. And of course this is dedicated to my Girlfriend Ayasal she sent me something in the mail which almost broke me into tears. This emotion made me design this for her...I really hope she likes it. I really hope you all enjoy this piece. Work is comming up so this will be probably the last wall for quite some time.

Take care and I hope you had a wonderful summer!
Cheers!

NOTE: I know the sky is so dominant with the wall but I really wanted to pull out a story with this and plus its one of my design projects. Please dont add that into your comments thanks.

*Another Note* Adding the banner

    In a way the overpowering sky reflects the mood of the story: Ed would feel overwhelmed in a world so different than his own, wouldn't he?

    And I really don't want to know how long it took you to make the entire cityscape with just default brushes. Big pat on the back for that:D

    Love it! ++ FAV

    wow, i really like it! great job!

    you did an incredible job and i think it's even better that you made ed so small. most anime wallpapers like to make their subject the characters themselves and then these anime characters take an obnoxious amount of space and it's like i want stuff that looks cool/pretty/funny rather than something that shows i'm obsessive over a show. hahaha. your cg work as usual is absolutely amazing. it's even more amazing that you did it with default brushes. overall... AWESOME. hope you get lots of brownie points on your project on this. hahhaa.

    Wow, that is just awesome. You make the city sound so simple, but it looks amazing. But it really is an interesting perspective, one could almost say that it's out of place. But it works for me ^^ I love the entire astronomical view, it's amazing how you even included small details like the chibi-moon. And of course, including Ed is just the icing. Thanks for sharing ^_^

    WOW. the city is just...amazing. How did you do that? Is that a stock photo or did you make that by hand? And those planets are just superb. I think you could have made Ed a little more larger though (sorry, I know alot of people have been telling you this). I read a comment about this on AP and someone was saying that Ed looks like an afterthought..and I really have to agree. It would have looked better if that area that Ed is standing in went out a little farther, and Ed was a little bigger. It might have worked better if you horizontally flipped Ed too, so that it looked like he was looking out towards what we can see in the wall, rather than something towards the right thats not on the wall. The lighting on Ed needs to be a little more blended in, especially the part on his jacket. But you have really great skills at walling. I like the story too. hehe

  13. Devilet Aug 28, 2006

    Oh geez, everyone keeps saying Ed should be bigger. I don't think it's necessary ... Art doesn't need to have a character take up the whole image ... In fact, I'm more drawn to the cityscape and the planets. Although, this scene could easily be done without him, I think it's fine just the way it is .. But you know, with every piece, there will always be a critic. Awesome work, I'm not a big fan of planet type stuff, but this has a mystical and unfamilar look to it. Truly, a different caption of vision compared to most wallpapers here. I'm amazed by your lighting skills, and that I actually don't mind these planets, maybe because it isn't whored with sparkles and shooting stars. Thanks for sharing once again.

    Wow the cityscape is absolutely gorgeous. I have no idea how you made it (even though you explained it). And of course the rest of it is very lovely, and no I don't think Ed is too small - it just emphasizes the magnitude and amazingness of the journey. Awesome work!
