Something different this time.

This started out as a doodle inspired by M. C Escher's "Drawing Hands". It was just going to be two hands, but turned out into a circle :)

At first I wanted to leave the thumbs blank (no shading), but it didn't look right, so I gave it a gentle shading.

I used my hand constantly as a reference while drawing, but some parts probably doesn't look as real as Escher's work... that's probably because I suck at drawing hands...

Interesting, it makes me think about that feeling you have when you're caught by inspiration and you're lost into what you're doing... sort of like you're being caught in a circle or a spiral or something (I'm not good at explaining it, but I think you know what I mean ^_^'). Either way, the overall impression is awesome. A well-deserved fave from me ;)

What an awesome doujin! How I envy you... I wish I could draw hands that well! ^_^' Beautiful shading... The only thing I can see is that the circle is a little off center, but if you were only planning to do 2 hands in the first place then it's understandable. Overall, a really interesting piece! Keep up the great work! :D

Wow! cool piece. You know what it reminds me of... there was this marching band that played The World of M.C Escher, last year (2005) It was so cool. And that's what the hands remind me of. ^-^
