I was randomly browsing the Bebop scans and this scan of Spike was just too funny to pass up. But then I noticed this scan of the whole Bebop crew was also much too silly to not do something with. So I decided to use both of them in the same wallpaper - the crew smashed up against a window trying to get a glimpse of Spike dancing in the streets. Spike's actually dancing in Minneapolis, which was the best stock of a skyscraper-filled street I could find at Stock Exchange that had a decent perspective. At first I was going to have the crew peering out of a window on the Bebop, but it makes more sense for them to be looking out from another building on the streets - a jazz cafe sounded like a good idea and allowed me to make a parody of Starbucks' logo, which I tried to design as a glass decal (hence the edges of the decal are larger than the sticker itself). The title "iBop" is another parody - of the iPod walling fad, since Spike is certainly bopping to the beat of his own drum - or personal music player (with giant stereo headphones) as the case may be.

    This is just so spectacular, funny, (insert multiple glorifying adjectives!) and the concept alone gives the wall an A+. At a first glance the wallpaper is funny and if I didn't read your comment I may even have missed spike in the reflection but that edition makes this a serious laugh out loud. Within the glorifying of the concept I'm not going to ignore the artistic aspects.

    From your comment and the wall it looks like you've achieved exactly what you planned to do and I'm surprised at the harmony between having a real world reflection in the window and maintaining the anime feel. Also great job on getting spike out of the window scan, showing the original makes your efforts twice as recognised :D. My only critism would be that it appears that Spike himself has become slightly transparent in the reflection.

    I've never actually been aware of seeing a starbucks before but regardless I like the look of the logo on the window. A beautiful, highly enjoyable wall and definately a favourite, a favourite among favourites!

    Edit: Runs to DA for a resolution my screen will enjoy more X-P

    I am in awe!

    Thank goodness I opened this wallie to see the full version. The details are amazing, the light and building reflection on the glass, and of course, Spike in the corner.

    Way too kewl! +++++++++FAV

    As the rest have said - it's a great concept! All the characters have a part to play in the wall and I like how it's Spike they're all staring at. :) I would suggest that the metal window divider have more of a weather beaten look. It looks almost to crisp and neat (which makes it look realistic, but yet makes it look a tad out of place). Spikes reflection you have to be looking for, but maybe that's what you were hoping? Anyway, superb job at putting the two scans together and making a great wall! :) Kudos!
