submitted this artwork a few days ago but it got deleted. i guess it was because of my laziness in describing my work. well, here's my story for my recent uploads:
i was bored over the weekend and i started reading my mail. i had some friends asking me to make wallpapers of some characters in naruto. thats when i decided do wallpapers of naruto, sasuke, shikamaru and sakura.
i was browsing the net and i got hold of a render pack including good images of these characters. the artist or person who provided the rendered images was some guy named munky. he even has a good image of gaara. i just havent decided to do a wallpaper of him. information about this guy including links was not available in that download. it was just his name. so i guess mentioning his name is good enough for credit.
this wallpaper was the first one i did of the four. started playing tracks by l`arc~en~ciel and started cleaning / color correcting the image. i then made random objects inspired from the design that axn tv has for their show titles. these random objects were then duplicated into different layers and each layer was given different shades of green. these layers were then blended by changing their opacity and blending options. another layer was then added and it was given a shade of black so that it will blend with the previous layered background. (i chose green because i thought it suited the image well. i mixed black because i thought it looked good on the matrix and wwf's dx ads years ago.)
other elements such as the light effect was added after so that the image would not look so flat. i used a free 3d rendered image for that and changed its hue settings till it was white and added somewhat of an outer glow. i then blurred some of its parts and changed its opacity. text with stoke was then added to indicate who the character was and to add my sig. i usually use balboza when i do my anime wallpapers. ended doing the wall with up dharma down playing in my player.
im done with the other papers as well. will post them in a while. thanks to fluke for his advise. i guess i couldnt stop writing once i start. hope my work wont get deleted this time. cheers! :D
