Personal thoughts
I haven't been on MT for a while now and 3 days ago I just logged in to check on submissions that I had been missing out on. I was so inspired after looking at them that I wanted to create something a little random and practice more w/ the art equipment that I had for a long time now.
The character that I chose to be my victim is Yukimura Anzu from the serie D.C. 2. I was really random w/ the whole theme. The drawing originally (on paper) has Anzu-chan resting on the bunny doll all alone together. After going through w/ cleaning the scan of my drawing, I open the clean file on to the CG illust and I just let my imagination go loose. At first I wanted to do a normal sweet scene w/ Anzu-chan just looking a little sleepy w/ the bunny but I thought it would be too plane and I don't have the skills to make a sweet theme drawing look any good. -_-'
The line-art (pencil drawing) is all done on (nasty yellow) paper and I didn't bother to do any cg-lining because I can't make a straight line for nothing w/ the Intuos. All of the coloring was done on CG illust. Most of the items in the drawing has no lineart at all. I just used the brush to shape & shade the items like the skull, butterfly, and other items that wasn't originally on paper (though the pillow carrots & stawberries are in the original paper drawing).
This drawing did take me hours out of my day to get done but I glad that I am done so that I can move on to practice some more. Hope no one is tortured by my amateur work. I am still learning... *Hides in a corner*
How long and layers used
-Took close to 3 days finish (I believe I used 4 hours a day to create the completed product)
-Took 15 layers on CG illust (I sqeeze a lot of the items in one layer)
- One layer on the Adobe elements (I clean the scan of my drawing w/ this program)
-Use one paper for drawing (Though I did a lot of erasing...)

FLOWERDOG! I <3 your works. Glad to see you back - beautiful piccy ^_^. Love the hair, pose, and of course the kawaii rabbit. The details (like the hanging doll in the bg) really add to the theme of the pic. Fantastic CG and thanks for the beautiful art!

You're new to this? Ah yes, you mostly did drawings by hand, which were so beautiful T.T
But, if this is a first attempt, I'd say it's pretty amazing, much more advanced than what I did on my first try. I really like how you did the colouring, it's still has that by hand feel, I'm not too fond of the noise on the eyes, it looks a bit strange. The curtains are really nice, and the bunny. Anzu is done the best out of the whole thing, I can tell that's where you were focused, hehe. The background is ... interesting, very hard colours, but with practice you'll learn how to balance things out better. Keep it up! Looks very adorable, and pretty. :) -

i haven't seen this series yet, but as usual.. it is evident that you have put tedious work on your art, that i always find to be very impressive! XD XD... i like how you decided to put her ankles hinged on the couch/mattress.. (if i'm not mistaken it's like that, ne).. :) the bunny eyes, are yummy especially the carrot pillows..! @___@ i love that sultry, bored look on her face.. like she took a moment to pose for the camera, and captured the mood perfectly! subarashii work FD-chan! XDki o tsukete! :D

floweryyy.. somehow your submissions are not showing up on my watch list.. or maybe they just keep getting pushed down by scan submissions and whatnot T__T
but this is really beautiful.. you're getting better and better at CGing every time! I love all the little details you put in and her outfit and lazy expression are both just great! I guess the only thing I don't really like is her purple nails.. but that's not your problem.. I just get freaked out by dark/bold colored nails anywhere in general >.<;; But otherwise, I love everything here! you keep improving with every submission :)

Wow, nice long story-telling description
The carrot dolls I find very amusing
I can't tell whether she is lying down or sitting up, Because of her head (the angle) and (the angle) of the bunny.
If she is lying down then the background should lie a little more flat.
If not then she must have a lot of muscle power to be sitting up like that.
It's a good scene but I still prefer your originals.
You give your originals more artistic tastes in it. -
