For the love of Kadaj, PLEASE FULL VIEW! Details, people, details! Thumb looks like absolute crap!

I'm going on a two-week vacation starting tomorrow afternoon, so this'll be my last submission till I get back. Oh, and this is going to be a long description OX

Where to start... well, I was looking through my notifs last week or so, and the word "Kadaj" caught my attention. And seeing it was submitted from Madoshikurefu, I figure it was a scan. And what a cool scan! I immediately saved it and decided I wanted to wall it.
Well, I had extracted it and was trying to get rid of the white box-like things on his suit when the insane idea of vectoring Kadaj came to me. This is the first time I've vectored a computer-generated person, so I was a little nervous about screwing up the image.
After around 7-8 hours (6 of those were trying to get his hair to work), I completed what I called "Part A" of the vector:
http://img233.imageshack.us/img233/4835/screener2pa0.th.jpg

After that, it was just trying to get some color into his hair:

Anywho, the wall was basically me trying out a "Grayserg technique" (for those of you who don't know who Grayserg is, go enlighten yourselves) though obviously, I failed :/ But I still like the way it came out. As for the title, well, if you've seen FFAC, you know what it means. If you've read all of this, type "chocolate chips, yo" somewhere in your comments, please :P

Time: 7-8 hours for the vector, 10-12 hours for the actual wall OX
Layers: I never count the layer for my vectors, 35 for the wall

Dedicated to my good friend, Eric (also known as Toxi Mandragora) :]

More resolutions @ EDD!

Oh dear, an impressive vector job you have done this time it just makes me speechless to see the insane ammount of detail and hardwork. Which I've always believed it shows and by viewing pieces as yours I also believe it is worth all the time.

BTW... yo! don't go on giving away my chocolate chips

    Wow...
    I love Kadaj XD
    Its really nice, Chloe-chan
The details everything and especially the contrast. How in the world did U managed to vector that?! O_O Its so hard to vector FF charas!
Anyway, its really nice, the textures and details especially...
My poor Kadaj... Its a sad story T_T *cries

  11. PhoenixNox Aug 27, 2006

the eyelashes need fixing! but otherwise the detail is breathtaking. the blurred squiggle thing in the botton left seems at odds with the sharp edges of the vector, but maybe thats just me.

    oh yeah, chocolate chips, yo
congratulations, your description has beat out a saturday night live rerun for my attention

  12. Ephemeral-Garden Aug 27, 2006

OMG! You vectored Kadaj. You vectored Kadaj! KADAJ! *faints*

This wall is so amazing I feel that I MUST USE CAPS! I checked Grayserg's walls and yesh.. his walls are.. amazing. And you say you've failed?! You did one wicked work here! >.< You vectored a computer-generated picture and that's whacky O.O

    *Too shocked to say anything.*

Hey hey, too much chocolate chips, yo!

  13. Alfonse Aug 30, 2006

    Chocolate Chips, Yo! n_n
Heh, well, seems like you've had a heck of a time with this piece Chloe. And I must say, all of your hard work and effort was totally worth it. ;)
I really can't see how you can vector a 3D image, but you managed to pull it off. And the style somewhat resembles that grayserg dood's style. So nice try, but personally, I think you need to come up with some ultra-mega-insane style of your own, instead of applying someone else's style. Just a thought, not sayin you can't pull it off, but the point I'm trying to make is, you need to make your own "signature" style that someone else may try and copy. ;)
Anyway, you did a really awsome job my friend, and this is deserving of a fav. ;)
