Well after I dled an anime scan from this site I just had to make a wallie out of it. The cutting out of the chracter took long but no nearly as long as choosing which scenery to put behind her. The picture by itself already look sort of sad and I didn't want the BG to emphasize the sadness so I didn't go with the one you see now. But after mutlitiple trials I finally decided that that was the best BG to choose probably for the colors.
I guess the feeling I was going for here was that after a great battle, even if you win there is still a heavy price paid and in the end was it really worth it. I know there is no signs of a battle in the actual BG but from the barren landscape I htink you can picture it quite well

Great stuff, I love the original character that she's inspired by (Legend of Valkyrie) as is, and both Sophitia and Cassandra are among my favorite Soul Calibur characters so you're wall already has a lot going for it -- but I like the background as well, particularly given the sadness that's apparent in the foreground figure.
