Another new wallpaper from me in an entirely different style.
It all started with a 'how-to-make-water' tutorial for Photoshop that I read a while ago. I thought -- what the heck, I'll give it a try. I was quite happy with the results. Then, I saw this great scan from volume 4 of 'The Edge' manga and I thought that Rey would fit perfectly with the watery background, to give the impression that he was on some sort of battle ship, cruising through the sea. But his expression was hardly a happy one, so that's when the whole sepia / unitone idea came up. Then I thought, why not make it into a photo? After I finished the photo, I messed around with the layers and everything, added a spot of blood for emphasis and finally the text. Ta-daa~!
Recap: everything you see in the wallpaper was vectored / rendered / brushed by me. I used no stock photo apart from the Rey image, and hardly any filters at all. Hope it's 'high quality' enough (I've had about 10 of my wallpapers deleted recently for being 'low effort' and everything, so I have a good reason to say this).
Well, hope you like it! ^_^

Aaa! I love sparkels *sees stars in her eyes* I also love the water you've put behind him :)
Just love the idea you've done with framing it like a photo!<3

ooh, I love that scan of Rey (makes him actually look like a guy XD). and I like the sepia-ish tones you've used here. the old photograph-type look is a good idea too, and the water is nicely done... though I'd put a bit more shading into the railings so they don't look so flat :)

This is such a gorgeous wallie! I'm shocked it doesn't have more comments/favs.
It's a beautiful concept, I love what you've done, and you chose an excellent scan of Rey. ^.^ Awesome work, please keep it up! ::favs::

i really like the frames you used
the tinted, old-faded look, the background and the frayed edges
it's like a portrait
thanks for sharing!
