my entry for W.A.R act 2.
Well just to clear it up. The vector IS sloppy, and was meant to be so, but then it isn't really. Push the looseness as I've been told by a professor of my. Push the looseness. Well cheerios are good. Check out drell's, it is better.

smilebit, you may think the vector is sloppy, but to the rest of us it adds an organic fluidity to the art that stops it from being a typically mathematical structured vector.

The bursts fo graffiti colours against the muted shades adds to that inner city-back streets feel. It's exciting and full of wonder. Truly beautiful... Keep it up, and good luck in the next round of W.A.R.

All I've got to say is great pallet! The depth of those colors are really refreshing considering its a vector, and you could make it neon. I really like it. The sloppiness adds to that street feel. Kewl.

I really liked this one out of the round 1 walls; I think I said this before, but for me this is one of your most usable ones, and all the design elements work to make it eye-catching and interesting XD Definitely agree with aestro that you picked a really nice color pallette for this wall :3 'Luck in round 2! :D

    Hello Smilebit,

like flyin said, the various design elements really make this wallpaper a very interesting one and I do not get tired of looking at it. I also like the way you are using the vectors. ;) I get bored of always seeing "perfectly clean" vectors and reading that all vectors should be perfectly clean, regular etc. They make your wallpaper "lively" (hope you understand what I mean) and it looks as if there was some sort of movement. Keep them coming! Hope to see more soon! And... Cheers... *lol*

Yet another impressive piece of work! This is really a fresh and original approach to using a new type of vector technique. You don't come across this kind of creativity very often, and thats why I think this wonderful entry will go far through out the rounds. Good luck and thank you for sharing this, keep up the amazing work!

very nice colours used in this. It will look better without the yellow diagonal line, though thats just me

'push the looseness' - quite a profound saying that does indeed make you think.

great work, really matches in line with your philisophy of the wallpaper. i daresay this type of wallpaper should be printed on a shirt or something :p

    Absolutely top class!
The vectors 'neatness' is of absolutely no consequence. Art isn't about being neat and tidy, it's about displaying energy and emotion and putting a point across in a manner that reaches out and grabs your audience by the throat, throttles them about a bit and then slaps them in the face a few times. ^__^

I believe this piece displays these particular elements in abundance. I'd like to draw attention to the colour combinations in particular. They're extremely unique in the capacity that they appear entirely unrelated to one another and thus compliment each other in that left of the middle fashion for which the piece was selected as a gallery highlight.
Secondarily to this, there is only so much one can do with another artists' original work but even so there is a keen and streetwise blend of post-modern, super modern and grunge elements in this piece that are young to witness. Very nice!

The chaos of the work with its almost American graffiti mural feel about it seem to remind me of the flourishing 80s Hip-Hop scene. This particular style of overall construction became the heart of haphazard art as was officially presented in the anime series Samurai Champloo.
Plenty of attitude! Well done! ^__^
