Mountains in terragen, rest of the scene The GIMP 2.2.
Pretty sure this is the final version.

I wanted to make a pink landscape... and then somehow I got this idea that a battle overhead would be cool. A friend from IRC made a bunch of 3D models of space ships for a wallpaper he made, and gave them to me to use... though you cannot really tell they were 3D after scaling them down to just a few pixels. Though I did not want a full scale battle, so my story is that this is just the start of the massive battle for domanince of this unhabited rocky pink atmostphered planet.

Like it, hate it. My girlfriend really seems to like it but maybe just because it is pink.
If I get enough emails about a version without ships guess I can post one.

Marvelous. Truly a piece a must fav. A great depth of mixed emotions i felt when i saw it. (That is to say, you caught my Archilles' heels.) Matching theme. Mystical bkground.

Here's to you. *Fav* Great works. XD

WOW, WOW, WOW! This wallie is simply gorgeous! Blend of colours, light, atmosphere.... Simply perfect! A definite favourite!

I think you did an excellent job with it! I can't even begin to imagine accomplishing something like that with the gimp.
