Kira Yamato and Lacus Clyne from SEED.
ur, I had this sketched out in like January, but I've kinda given up on it for a while due to Kira's hand... (me can't draw hands...) I found the sketch one day, and thought I should finish this, so I took reference pics of my hand and worked with that.
Well, since they never did show us the reunion image of Lacus and Kira, of how Kira kept his promise and came back to Lacus' side, I thought I'd make my own version.
I tried a new colouring technique this time. I actually took the time to clean up my lineart by vectoring it, before airbrushing, so the lines look much cleaner.
Yeah I know the proportions and anatomy are probably off at places... I didn't measure when I drew it, and am too lazy to go back and fix it... Kira's pilot suit neck part looks off too, because I didn't look at a reference until after I finished colouring... Lacus' dress was rather difficult to figure out, because I couldn't really find too many shots of her from the back at that angle, so I had to improvise, thus parts may look weird.
The actual colouring didn't take too long. The longest part is the background. That took forever to figure out, mainly because I suck at doing backgrounds... At first I wanted to do the Eternal bridge/observation deck, because that's where I figured they'd meet up, but I couldn't find a good reference, so I ended up using the Archangel one as reference.
