After a week's worth of vacation (and a week's worth of catching up) I'm back with new wallpapers! One of the things I bought on vacation was the Kumo no Mukou soundtrack (gotta love used Japanese bookstores and their awesome prices!) On the CD itself was a silhouette of the Velaciela and the Ezo Tower. I had taken screencaps of the scene where Sayuri is watching the other towers in her dream, intending to wall it, and decided to add the Velaciela element to it. Although it was at first much more detailed, I found I rather liked it better when I reduced it to pure silhouettes, so that your eye is naturally drawn to the tower and Velaciela, just as Sayuri's is in this scene of the movie. The frame is there to separate Sayuri from the other twisted towers because in the film she is trapped in her own tower, and can only gaze at them from a distance. It's this shade of blue because Shinkai seems especially fond of it in his works. As for the title, Sayuri describes the twisted towers as the "dreams of the universe".

Cool use of silhouettes in this wallpaper. The soft blue colors really work, too. Tis my new desktop.

i agree with bromithia. excellent useage XD! very beautiful work

i agree with both anzprianime and bromithia, really nice way of using silhouettes, lovely wall^^

nice wall, the shades of blue look really good, the way you used the silhouettes look neat ^^

what a neat wallpaper! i love how you made it so simple, yet totally original. Awesome job!

Awesome wallpaper :D Your artworks never fail to amaze me =] Graett job :) The buildings(towers?) are lovely :]

Beyond the Clouds ^_^ The movie was really nice. It was especially famous for its beautiful illustrations, and your wall certainly does the movie justice. I love the whole distance look with the endless row of towers, and the title is really nice ^_^ But whatever you might say, I think it's a little too plain. That's just my opinion though. A nice wall nevertheless. Thanks for sharing ^_^

simple serene wallaper
nice shades of blue
not your normal detailed type of wallpaper that we expect from u mate:)

well done

Wow! This is so amazing! I love the color choice you used as well! :o Great work!

It's so simple, but looks great (as all your walls always do). I like the gradient-type effect and the use of blue tones. Looks great!

A very peaceful looking wall ^_^ Ooopps, does it sound weird to say a wall is "peaceful"? but this is the feeling it gave me when I first saw him :) and blue is my favourite color! Nyah!

UIHH KEREN BANGET, WARNA BIRUNYA ITU LHO! PAKE PROGRAM APA NE?

Very nice. I like the color gradient, and blue was obviously the perfect color. The silhouetted spires/towers look really good, as does Sayuri.
