So tropical and fresh looking~ :) I already saw 2 versions of the scan in a sunset wallpaper..and well, it was kind of
annoying how people assume orange/reddish colored scan = sunset bg. It wasnt exactly annoying, but just..kind of typical and unoriginal. I'm not saying my version is original, but a blue
day-time ocean wouldnt be the very very first thing you would think of when you see the original scan right?
so anyways, I saw The Pirates of the Caribbean recently, and that one scene where they're on the beach....well, it
really inspired me to make a caribbean bg! I absolutely LOVED that beach. The water was so incredibly pretty and clear.
I wanted to make the water a little more clearer in this wall bg too, but I had so many different layers of water that
it was kind of hard and I just kept it to the part under Haruhi.
I know her one arm looks a little akward because its going off the page at a wierd angle..but if you just think of it as
her putting her arm on top of her stomach..well then it doesnt look so bad anymore. It looks so refreshing...just
floating in the ocean and looking up at the sky. Of course any beach scene cant go without a few seagulls! And I'm so
proud of myself because I made the entire ocean by myself (no ocean stock photos were harmed or used in the creation of
this wallpaper! X-P) and I made the fuzzly little islands in the distance. The clouds are brushes from DA of course. too
lovely to be handmade by me >.<
the pretty pink flower in the front is called a plumeria. I dont know if they have those on the caribbean islands, but
they do have them in hawaii. They're my favorite flower! I think they should be the state flower rather than the
hibiscus (in my opinion). The hibiscus is the flower on Haruhi's ear. Oh, yes. the hibiscus. well, that was originally
an orange-y red, and I had a rather hard time making that a yellowish color. but it all worked out in the end and I'm
happy~ It still looks a bit orange..but ah well. The yellow and red hibiscus is the official hawaii state flower!
(errr...yea, now that I look at the wall again, it looks more orange than yellow)
if anyone wants a text-less version, I can always up that to imageshack or something too. :D
the girl in the background (dunno her name) was from another scan that came in to MT at the perfect time! nyahaha used it to my advantage since the wall looked a little forlorn before.
Layers - hmm suprisingly, only 32
time - 3 days, about 6 hours each day

so theres a bunch in the ocean. but at least the sky has escaped from my sparkle brushes, and remain clear this time!

UUUU oh my gosh! that Carabian idea is Soo Cool! i am in love with the scan, i mean what u have done with it, and yeah u are write everybody is going for the sunseat idea, coz the original scan was that kind of color, maybe coz its simpler... but anyways i think u did a F A N T A S T I C ! ! ! job on this i mean really! its wonderfulll! i love the watter, and btw how did u make it, can u teach me?! well anyways i Am for sure adding thsi into my favs, and if i was in some staff of Cl, CW, Oh i wood ove totaly put into the Elite Gall, or featured one! XD yeah it is so Beautiful! Gees gurl, well i only can say, please make some more, and tell me how XD! lol! u dont have to really!...

Interesting concept!
I really like the sea and the sky..
But..haruhi's scan..doesn't blend completely with the background, because haruhi's colors are warm and there lots of blue in the wallie, so I don't think they really blend

While you cant beat Haruhi as subject matter, thats not the only thing that makes this wallpaper spectacular. The perfect background and the blending of the Charecter is too perfect. In all it is a wallpaper almost too sacred to be downlaoded. That coupled with teh fact that Haruhi has a near cult folling makes the choice even better. You have my sincerest thanks and the deepest gratitude for making this wallpaper of exquisite beauty.

HAHAHAHHAHA this looks so strange. her expression doesnt fit how someone would do when they're doing the backstroke or floating in water.
