My first widescreen wall...celebrating my new widescreen laptop :D
Made for the IIDWP v. Trompe Les Mondes Pre-90s Challenge on The Battleground
Steps:
1) extracted Nausicaa from this scan
2) painted the glider
3) painted the cliff
3) painted the fields and trees
4) painted the sky
5) touched up Nausicaa and other finishing touches
This scan and this scan were helpful for colors

I dunno the studio nor the character... but this one is so nice...
Gives me a so calm and nostalgic feeling.
I guess extraction was a long time one, right?! Anyway, the only thing that seems to have a bit more work (at least for me) is the floor where she is standing... it`s too raw ... or how can I say ... there is something missing like, more messed patterns or cracks would help... but all in all this is a really good wall!
