This wallpaper was made for the pre-90's anime/manga battle between the Invincible Intercosmic De Facto Working Party (where I'm in) and Trompe Les Mondes on Animepaper. For more infos look here: The Battleground
Anyway, I spent a lot of work on the vector as I played around with gradients
for the first time and I wanted to make it look really good. I used this
scan for the vector.
As for the background ... I know the black tree is "way too common and
hella annoying", but I still like it, so please bear with it :P
You can use the vector for your own purposes, as long as you give me credit and
maybe send me a message.
Miyu and Larva: PNG | SVG
As always, vectors made with Inkscape and the background with GIMP.

It affects me with interest to view this wallie. My instinct is right. This is a very affectionate wallaper. The tree is okay. Maybe you could add some flying bats nearby. Anyway, great work. I'll fav this. Thanks for sharing this.
I love the way of UXGA resolution. The concept and the colors are awesome.
Simple, but very enticing. I like the way you didn't texture the background, and also how you vectored your own tree. Overall great work
I'm
glad your group won as well.
Affection...deep affection is what I see on this wall. I just love the dark aura that emphasizes the deep love and affection that surrounds them...
I just love it! The effect of shadow tendernes is just so.... *3 thumbs up* Congratulation! Keep it up! ^^ May the Valar be with you...
The background and the colours really match its feeling. Well done.
your best work yet.
