This one came right after "The Slacker is a Hero!", and was based off of the same inspiration.
Inspiration:
When a knight fell in love
He betrayed his fellows
Lifted his sword for a maiden
Instead of his nation
But its hard to turn away
From a soft embrace
A kind of grace that lingers
The kind that make you stray
But the maiden without sorrow
Kept her knight at bay
Even from the battle in play
And his fellows that decay
The knights love to never fade
Because the maiden wanted it that way - me
Once again. All done with mouse.
20+ hours.
13 layers.
I've not slept in the past 24+ hours working on this.
But overall, I'm really happy about how it turned out.

Second post.I would like to second what I have talked to Lady Evanrued on yahoo about how amazing these piece looks.It is flawless in detail and form and is a very far cry to your older pieces.You have come and exceeding long way as an artist,this looks nothing like the last piece you submitted (the one with the bottles).And you did this all with a mouse at that.Fantastic work,keep it up ^_~.

I love how you drew their faces, and their clothes are nicely done as well. A colored version of this would rock hard :D I still can't understand how you can draw with your mouse. Oh well, nice job!

You're really good at this artwork! It's not too hard to draw with the mouse, but you have to constantly get a good glimpse of the artwork and then zoom in to precisely edit the work.

This has to be the best in drawings so far. The slacker was drawn well proportionally. The only thing is his "his" left eye. It's off just a bit. Move to the left a bit. Other than that, I loved the way you did his hair and his armor is simple in design but I can really believe it to be armor. The girl has a really unique face and her hair is amazing as well. I think her her right arm looks a lil awkward. But this is really neat. Good stuff~
