hehe well.... i had fun doing this 
.....
lots of fun 
i've been meaning to do a xxxHolic pic for a while... but never knew if i would
be talented enough to make a good wallpaper, or do a vector, more simple but
probably longer to make.
so finally i stumbled on this scan and thought it'd be nicer and more in my
reach to make a vector out it it!

time? hours speaded on about 2 weeks... i don't really know...
sorry... i don't rememeber where i got the textures for the background... 
but it
took me quite a while to find one that would look like gold...
i really hope you all like it i
put alot of time and effort in it to make it as nice as possible.

there's a few jagged lines. the buttons aren't round, but rather appears to be some kind of polygon, unless they were intended to be that way. everything else looks good to me. i must praise you for the hardwork you did on the background.
This one rule !
Such a brave scan to tackle and yet it's flawless! The bold black lines are confident, just as the character is. Then there's the rich golden textures in the background, which adds so much warmth & texture to the otherwise plain blacks. And then there's all the sneaky detail, like the butterfly & the lacey trimmings. You've really achieved something pretty stunning

the vector isn't smooth enough for my tastes, and although its a pleasing wallpaper...there is no originality or creative value about it and hence I disagree with the highlight. :shrugs: I've seen worse, but adding some otehr features to the wall might add a personal touch to it, soemthing it currently lacks.
Morphee, this vector is AMAZING! You made great choices for textures and matched the original art perfectly. It would make a great wallpaper as it is ^_^ It's definately a favorite!

The fact that you've spent hours upon hours on vectoring this scan makes it deserve the highlight. Plus... it's xxxHolic, that's almost as hard as vectoring Amano artwork.
