Well finally finished the waller. This was mostly just an experiment that I was doing with a city stock image and then I got the idea to make it into a Advent Children wall. The wallpaper took me about 5 days of classes (cause I have free time till the end of the year so I'll probably be fiddling around with photoshop for awhile and probably making more wallpapers). So 90 minutes x 5 days... you do the math. XP Anyways, the city is a stock image, I got the cloud, sephroth, and logo images from AP and made the wallpaper in CS2 using the basic brushes. I tried to make it look dismal and forebodding with the colors and the dark sky. I had added rain but then I removed cause I thought it was too much and the sky already gives off the feeling that it's about to rain. The blue squiggley thing beside cloud is the life stream (my own version of it obviously XD) and I know in the movie it's green (I think... haven't seen the movie in awhile) but I made it blue because it suits the whole mood and feeling of the wallpaper and green would just look awkward there. I haven't done a wallpaper in while (mostly cause I got too busy and went into a slight depression >_>; ) but anyways I hope that everyone enjoys this waller.

GREAT! You've caught the atmosphere very nicely. The blue tone used here is also perfect, while the city image gave impression of Midgar-like.
And... isn't that Sephiroth standing on top of the building? He has one wing, though. :)
Ps:
Since you use Photoshop, why wouldn't you use filter to create the lifestream? Add render > clouds, and then distort > shear. You'll get some 'streaming' effect from that! -

Wow, this is gorgreous...and I especially LOVE the how you put Sephiroth on top of one of the builldings - that's really clever. However, I'm don't like the swirly blue thing at the bottom very much :O
Anyway, this is a great wall, keep it up! -

I very much like your use of colour here. And I agree with you, the rain effect would be too much - The gloominess of the sky speaks volumes. Beautiful artwork.

O. M. G. THIS WALLPAPER IS ONE OF THE BEST I HAVE SEEN! *drools* cloud is SO awesome! good job choosing this picture. the mood created with the blues really works with cloud's expression. the words are nice and out of the way. the logo has presence but isnt a sore spot. i think sphiroth is a bit big for the buildings though...dont think hes that tall. i like how theres so much space between cloud and the city, adds to the atmosphere. plus the fog and clouds. the only thing i dont like is the life stream. its better than if it was green. but it still...ruins it a bit. i guess it would be too empty there otherwise...*shrugs* either way, ITS SUCH AN AMAYSINK WALLPAPER! *hugs comp* =]

wow this is totally great, fantastic work on the background, like to way you put the character to the side, compared to others that does the "in-the-face" sort of wallpaper. Keep up the good work.
