So I was trying to figure out how to draw fire without having to use references, and I ended up doing this. This scan isn't really what the drawing actually looks like in real life, though I did try to adjust the brightness and saturation a little bit to make it look more like the actual one. When I have access to Photoshop and the normal scanner again I'll see if I can rescan it.
As is obvious, she um wields fire.
Drawn with the usual pencil and eraser, with some use of black ballpoint pen.
All thoughtful feedback appreciated.

whoa, need i say more ohh extremely long fingers but whoa well drawn i guess she needs the long fingers to control and manipulate the fire ^_^, wicked job unicorn 2006.
well i do have to say that this is may favorite by far. the detail is just amazing and you did so good on the eyees. i love the dedth that i see in them.

Only improvement I can think of is maybe some more detail on the boots (buckles or zippers or some such- maybe the boots themselves could be on fire?) But I love the level of detail on this. Plus eyebrows on fire = win!

I mean omg that fire is so realistic, but the thing i think u need to work on is the hands and the lenghths need a little work, other that that its such a BREATHTAKING drawing

The fire wielder appears awkward in her stance but it really adds to her character. First, I love her face and hair. Her hair blends into the bg awesomely and the shading was done well. I like her eyelashes. It adds to the motifs and goes well with her outfit. The only things is her arms. Her (her) right arm is shaped fine but where it attaches to her shoulder is a lil off. And her left arm's perspective is a lil off. Other than that, this is an interesting piece with a fiery flair. Shading was awesome too. Super drawing~
Great piece. Love how her hair becomes fire, and how you drew the fire so convincingly with just pencil. The only thing that feels a bit off is the proportion of her arms.
