I recently finished Gankutsuou. I knew I would love this anime when I first saw the opening....and I was right XD
About the wallpaper......I know that this scan has been used lots of times but I couldn't resist it. So I decided to
wall it.
I used a stock photo from sxc.hu and had to take many things away [trash, people, chairs etc] and then I created the
sky. I extracted and somewhat cleaned the scan and then I played a bit with brightness & contrast to achieve the
desired effects. Lastly, I used several textures & brushes to give that "old photo" look and then I typed
the text.
All in all, it took me about 4-5 hours to make and I used less than 20 layers.
