New and better wallpaper! I love Amano's weird artwork. This ballerina is pretty normal for him. Her skirt was originally sketchy lines like tulle but was cut off on either side. I thought that the feathers that replaced the original skirt worked well with the feather motif on her chest. The picture was embellished with strange white blobs with black squares in the middle that probably looked neat on the original painting but looked yucky on the picture. I added pale pearls that compliment the jewels on the leotard. I wanted to keep the original harsh, grungy look and colors in the background and accented it with distressed florals and swirls. A lot of thought and effort went into this one!

Comments always welcome.

okay; first i recommend referencing the scan. which can be found here
my scan is on MT- but the server's very slow..

wall: i like the whole bg and atomsphere you created here. the little pink balls work well and great job removing the white streaks you mentioned.

minor crit: upon first glance and due to lack of artwork reference there seems to be extraction issues. i know how difficult Amano-sama artwork is to extract, but i would have removed the area below her ear[s] and her shoulder[s]. also the area at the top of her head to the viewer's left, near her hair - i would have extracted that white part. and lastly blending her in just a little more perhaps with a brush and a very liberal use of the blur filter would have been ideal.

please don't be offended by my critiques - you did a good job with such a difficult scan. just a few more touches would have kicked it to the next level.

i shall be watching future submissions of yours.
    au revoir

I don't like her eyes. She's looking so evil. But this is not your bussines. ;)
The colours and the background of the wall are fantastic. I like this work a lot. It's not so flashy and colourful like the most walls here :D

her face definitely bears Yoshitaka Amano's mark. I love his style. This is REAL art and I can only imagine how hard it is to walk into those shoes and use one of his images for a wall. Great texture and colours... I like this wall! Thanks for sharing your work with us!
