Walling has been on hold for a while due to finals but now I'm free...
So here's my entry for The
Planning Board's HOWLing Project Round 1: Butcher the Song...or as I like to
think of it...my fuzzy creepy wall 
My inspiration was Pink Floyd's Brain Damage...it took me a while to find a scan that connected, but I was lucky enough to stumble across this Yoko Tanji scan
My original idea was to convey the trapped/lost feeling in the song by placing the character in a maze (channeling surrealist Escher) but when I actually got started...I decided that hopeful rather than depressing was the way to go
Steps:
1) Clean, extract, and complete scan...with some changes
2) Create maze...curse perspective...curse it (made me feel like I was back in
art class...stoopid vanishing point...)
3) Finishing touches to character and background
I tested out placing a few different things in the sky but ended up preferring
the open space after all.
Technical Details:
Time: Approx 22 hours
Layers: Far too many merges...but final layer count was 28
A photoshop wall though the maze is a vector

You say I'm bad, but when you're hooked on walling you're far far worse... Insane amount of effort and it paid off I think, scary perspective work for the maze and the overall mood is so wonderfully creepy, and really fitting with the song too I think. Yay, good job!
not sure about the lack of shadows and the position of the bird but i like..
also i would have slightly [read- very slightly] reduced the amount of light near our heroine's outstretched arm..
2 solid Yoko Tanji in one night.. i can now die.....
Nice edit; like the concept. The chara doesn't feel quite blent into the bg though; the textures are a bit off.
lol. Pink Floyd...inspiring struggling artists since 1976. The wall, theres little to say other than the fact that I love it.

wonderful ^^, so nice grunge, the color is warm and great too ^^, i do love the texture in this wall, great use of vanishing point lol, i try it and watching tut for several times but cant remember *__*
