finals are finally done and summer vacation has started! to get my mind off my
depressing grades i decided to make a wallpaper.
i kept the wall very simple. i didn't have enough time to make changes to the
scan. i have job interviews coimng up and i'm also working in a research lab in
my college. i don't know when i will have time to wall again, hopefully it will
be soon. although the wall looks very simple, it did take me some time to make.
i used many textures and brushes. it's hard to see some of the brushes i used
because i wanted a suddle feeling. all the textures and brushes are from deviant
art.

edit: added text. i tried to move the scanover but the textures and the brushing didn't fit with it well. hope the text fills some of the emptiness.
edit: i'm confused now...some people like the text and some don't. so i'm
hosting the text version on imageshack.

I haven't seen anything from you in a while. this wall is very nice, but I won't fave it until you fill that huge empty space with a title of some sort. :3

Agree with Sharingan, the left space feels a tad too empty and text might help, you could also try scootching the scan more a touch more towards the center, which might also do the trick.

A simple design but a nice extension of the original scan...love the change in color scheme

Simply beautiful. The scan blends into the bg so well; & I like the nice, surrealistic look.
I can't quite put my finger on it, but your wallpaper reminds me of some famous artist... (not Japanese...) Well, it's been awhile since your last submission Bakkie, but it was well worth the wait! Beautiful in it's simplicity, I prefer the textless version. The scan you used has kind of surrealist feel to it... @_@ Keep up the great work and gL on the interviews! ^^

It seems out of place, thats why i like it because it reminds me of me as a person inside my mind... silent, everpresent and a dark constant in my world. Beautiful and simple in its own way!

It's great, I like the use of textures and such. The left side definitely does look too empty, I think adding some text will do.

Yay! My first critique here!
I definably like the empty space on the left. Though you have a strong vertical image dominating the right side, the slanted horizontal line created by that darker shape on the left balances the composition. That empty space adds a great deal of atmosphere. It makes the figure seem more alone. It's like a big empty void filled with a chilling wind blowing at the person's scarf. If that makes sense.

Pretty Nifty wall there Baka, Boy! Seems abstract with the shapes in it and concept. Definitely like the texture and grunge feel of it. And I like the pillar of light there. Well done ^_^
