I like the vector. I don't think the background is exciting enough, for me personally, though. A nice wallpaper overall.

The idea for this one came from one of the volume 6 chapter covers, which shows Yuuko in a pool of smoke with lotuses growing from the smoke. I think I went through all 8 volumes 3 times looking for just the right image of Yuuko to use...before giving up and downloading this from the MT gallery. Yuuko is holding a pipe in the scan, but I cut that out of the vector and placed a lotus at the end of her fingers instead. I realize it looks a bit off but...
The lotuses were vectored off a couple of b&w chapter covers from volume 5 and colored using this scan for reference. The smoke was vectored off a b&w manga scan from volume 2 and colored using this scan for reference ^_^' I say colored, but they're really just gradients with touches of brushing. The original vector is 2778x2994 px and takes forever to open at this point. The bg ^_^' is just some render clouds and texture for a simple, faded look.

i have to confess i really like Youka artwork..
the bg has a Shunpei-esque look that i love..minor crit: i am not positive about the flower behind Youka - i would have moved it elsewhere off her body. perhaps farther to the left..

i definitely enjoy the way you vector and make this one, however the plain background just sorts of cuts it out, yet, in a sense, it brings out the flavor of it.
very sophisticated.

Aaaah She's so nice to vector, I wanted to vector her for a long time but her hair discourage me. lol
The neat and simple background doesn't botter me. I like the subtle shadows and texture.
It's just the fact that her dress is almost the same color of the background that disturb me.
Beside that I love the lotus, the gradient are really well done ^^

The vector is absolutely gorgeous ^_^ I love how you added the lotus with the smoke as well. Overall I like the simplicity, but I think it might be TOO simple ^_^' It might help add a little bit more interest if you added a faint pattern in the background, but that just what can to my mind. Other than that it looks great!

Omygod...I love it love it love it! I always think that there aren't enough xxxHolic wallpapers and your vector is just amazing. I hope that I don't sound like I'm sucking up or something but it really is good. The smoke looks good and the background is a nice color and I like the simplicity. :) A fave from me!

Your vector looks better than the orignal picture! I liked the colors and how Yuuko's hair got highlighted since I simply love her hair! the sepia and empty background adds a nice effect since it highlights her and transmits the feeling that she's under control of everything, including the pretty-colored smoke!

simplistic composition but it works nicely and design is very elegant. vectoring is well done, smooth lining and colouring is also clear. colouring of the background is quite the same as the dress so it's little difficult to separate but it's still pretty ^_^ like the colouring on the smoke, it changes well to other colours and they fit together. pink lotus flowers gives nicely brightening touch. overall great work and thank you for sharing !
