My latest work~ I've been working on this wallpaper for almost a week. Spent considerable time on it since my finals are over. ^^v
This is my first landscape wallpaper. When I saw this scan of Sakura and Syaoran, I thought I'd have them outside... a lot of the students at my univ were studying outside under trees for their final. hehehe
Anyway, the background is all brushwork with photoshop default brushes except for the tree trunk, which i used a brush from a tree set. It took me forever to paint the background >_< took a lot of patience and smudging. Wish I had a tablet and a stylus... that would've made it much easier.
Took about 20-30 layers after I merged layers to do the smudging... before merging, probably 50+

I like how it's all pastel colors ne~ Especially the pink petals...sakura ne~The only thing that looks a little off to me is the top of the tree trunk, the part that extends up off the wallie....it looks a little off ~_~

I like the wallpaper. Great job. Is it me, or does the background behind Sakura and Syaoran look flat? It might be me but it seems that the characters are 3D and the background is flat. Anyway, great work :)
