This is Aki from Boys Be... in the first episode of the 2nd Volume, Summer. Well, that's where I got my original image capture. Actually, I find most of the screen captures from DVDs to still be lacking in details needed for good vector tracing.
This is another simple 2 layer vector trace. I first did the top layer, the
line art. Then I duplicated the layer and changed all pen stroke widths to zero,
for making color boundaries. This layer is Under the Line art. I locked the line
art layer from modifications and just started tracing the color regions and used
Live Paint feature in Illustrator CS2.
Time spent: 10 hours total.
