hi again!... so~ i'm not really supposed to be drawing.. but man, i missed it.. anyway - i just finished reading Daddy Long Legs.. and it literally reduced me gushing and in tears... an unpleasant sight.. OX lol. i was inspired to draw something romantic but an original would not live up to my expectations, hence the reference 'Emma'.. speaking of which, kaoru mori is my absolute favorite manga artist! i highly recommend the manga over the anime- as it is not even 1/10th of the beautiful artwork of the manga... i grew up watching drama's from world masterpiece theater and they are all period pieces, so Emma brings back memories, and just my type of love story... >_<

about the doujin- it is only a copy from the original by ms. mori-->
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v365/eggpie/km.jpg ..i know it's sort of a weak drawing technically, but like i said, i shouldn't be drawing.. and also, i'd like to capture a sort of passing moment for the two characters.. levels adjusted in ps... and color levels to red!

  6. Tinbad May 02, 2006

This is another wonderful drawing... Now explain to me why you said you shouldnt be? -_-

  7. Kukuru May 02, 2006

Ah, I love it when you get the urge to draw, even though you aren't meant too X-P but when your artistic nature calls, you must not deny it :)

Ooo very nice work, the shading effects look fantastic - as always :D and I very much like the way your have portrayed the characters. I kind of get a 'No I shouldn't' vibe from the girl, while the guy is quite fond of her. Is that what you were going for.

In any case, another lovely addition to you gallery :nya:

  8. AWOL May 02, 2006

Wonderful work; but perhaps you could put it in a more romantic scene? Its supposed to be a real mushy romance story...

  9. BlkLotus May 02, 2006

I wish I could sketch a drawing effortlessly like you, Chisaikame-sama. That's why even if you claim that your techniques look weak in this one, I always find it powerful and a wonderful skill to have if you love drawing. You are truly an artist. I love the shading technique and the lineart looks wonderful too. The red tone level matches w/ the mood of the character's expression. Very well done job Chisaikame-sama. :)

Interesting work, the expression of her is very good, the one of him is different, is strange, this seeing something but not what. In short, as I know likes your style of drawing, that is very pretty, clean and it frees! My greetings for you! :D

eto... why should you not be drawing. I don't think I've asked but are you working, and therefore very busy and don't have time to draw? Regardless does sound like you hit your busy streaks, but the best part about you is the fact that you are so devoted and love drawing that where others would say I don't have time and feel bad, you find time because this is what you love. Lots of respect for that devotion, and that I believe is what makes your drawings so capitvating.

On with the show ^_^. hehe "Back to the Future" are words that come to mind, yeah little nerdy thinking about that movie ^_^' but it's what I feel when I see it. How so, well looking at this picture makes me think I'm in an something like "Gone with the Wind" oh my I'm making myself sound old XP... The texture of the shading really looks like if it were one of those black and white photos from that time, which is why it makes me feel like I'm back in that time.

My fave part of this drawing is the girls face... ^_^ and I think a certain someone after reading her novel was able to put a great deal of her feelings into this part of the drawing. I can feel the emotions going through her...

To the constructive critiscism part, it has to do with your immense feelings when you drew this. I think you focused so much from the girls perspective, that I don't get very much feeling from the guy. Looking at his eyes I really don't get too much feeling as to what he's thinking, and takes away from the overall mood of the peace...

But in the end what am I most happy about... it's learning what a romantic Chisai chan is ^_^

a good piece of this couple. ^^ I like the anime but where's the ending!? Anyway, I really adore your drawing of this couple. keep it up!

    Victorian Romance Emma..!
haha...MT has very very few wallies/doujinshi/scan whatever xD" for this >.<..
glad i found someone who kinda likes it too :D yes yes...the manga is nice..
anyway,...i don't know what liebesleid means but...xD"let's talk about your art.haha.
hmm..william looks kinda stiff >.< ...and i wouldn't say he looks VERY manly..having those muscles ><..er..something like that ^_^' .
emma's face looks weird...doesn't really look like her somehow..^^;perhaps it's her mouth...'~' and specs maybe? x_x;.hmm..i duno! but anyway..her neck looks kinda long.....
but as usual,i like the way you shade..you have your own style..:D

They are both such a dower appearance. Emma does look slightly off her original but it looks fine to me. I like how she looks away from him but I wished she was smiling gently though. I think her male counterpart looks a lil stiff. XD Maybe it's because of his status. I think his collar looks awkward near his jawline. Other than that, the sketlines are done really well. I love the way you do hair and the clothing. Awesome drawing.
