... hmm.
It's not that i don't like this wallpaper, or that i don't think it's good. I just think it's... the same. It's the same as a few walls i've submitted to MT and i think it's the same as so much of the design i've done before. This wall frusterates me, for that reason. I feel so damn stagnant style-wise. argh.
Anywho. onto the important stuff.
Took 3 1/2 hours to make, straight (i hate getting up and doing shit inbetween making a wall, i lose my train of thought too easily) while listening to KMFDM's Anarchy (hence the title.) 16 layers used.
Over-blended amount of stock's (from Here... damn, i need more good stock photo sites.)
The base image was This; which, on first sight i thought was a Range Murata work :P
I'm not entirely happy with the text/hands/birdies (i made the birdie brushes myself *brag*) but i felt that the wall needed some balance on the left side since the (rather striking) girl was on the right.
Meh. i don't think it's bad. just the same. =(.

it does seem similar to your previous works, but that doesn't mean its a bad piece. this has happened to me before. although i mostly make sigs, i found that i had kinda mastered the use of 1 or 2 types of brushes, so i made sure not to use those brushes, and now i'm proficient in a number of brushes. in times like these you have to sometimes be really far out there. even though the sigs i was making were really bad, i kept going back to the techniques i sucked at till i got good at them. as artists we can find it all too easy to stick to the styles that we know well, so that we can make masterpieces everytime, but in reality, sometimes you have to challenge yourself and not be scared to make something poor looking, cuz if its in the efforts of trying something new and different, then in essense it isn't really 'poor looking' at all. sorry if i've trailed off and made no sense. anyway, i like this wall and think you did a good job on it.

the balance is perfect. I personally always love to leave some space in my walls for icons even if it means screwing the balance a little. As for the uniform design that you claim follows each of your works, I like it. Everyone has their own style, this is unchangable. I would like to see more vectors from you though, and Im sure you'd be pleased to experience a new look.
