yeah, this is that HARUKA wallpaper's musume-bun. LOL
at first i wanted the name of the wall to be 'suiren geisha' meaning suiren = lotus ;p
but changed my mind, even tho this HARUMI wall doesn't look like my HARUKA geisha vector
okiee,, i shouldn't be submitting something as early as this but i can't wait and especially when i saw 'ol flyin-chan submitted another wall : P
teh wallpaper's story ( corrny~~ xP ) :
the girl in the wall is harumi which is haruka's musume-bun ( apprentice geisha ), when an oneesan ( geisha mentor ) hires another maiko to be her musume-bun they usually give them a new name that is loosely based on her oneesan's name. ex: haruka ( spring flower ), harumi ( spring beauty ) *i got this from a site LOLOLOL*
yeah i'm infatuated with geisha and their culture, and i'm even doing a project about them at school. so you will probably see more geisha walls in the near future. in this one i tried to keep it simple, i didn't use reference on the geisha herself so it's kind of 100% handmade so sorry if it's crappy or anything like that
and the water lilies on the back is yes, you guessed it! from my old among the lilies wallpaper. i used a reference on her japanese hair comb so it has some little details xP
i tried to make this as original as possible and hope this will do ne? your comments make me smile! >D

totally ur kool style, nyaa, the vector still have some jaggy i know that's hard when a vector is resized so it's easy to have jaggy ^O^, but lets try next time, *hugs Shix-chan wall*

I absolutely love the bg u created shix-chan ~ its so pretty ~ and the colours r really well picked :)
the geisha is drawn really well , but the nose is a lil off :P . try to practice more on body proportions . other than that , its really original and I really like it .

very beautiful vector again ^_^ and nice geisha theme again too ! composition is really pretty, like the lotus flowers on the background and character in the middle of it. lotus flowers with green background also give nicely brightness to otherwise quite light coloured wallie. like the dim little pink parts next to eyelid as the red colouring of her lips, they bring nicely warm to her pale skin. overall great work, lines are clean and colouring is well done :D thank you for sharing !
