This is a wall for crapmonster's HOWLing project (round 1) that I've been working on little by litte over the last few weeks. Pink Floyd's 'Breathe' was the audio track associated with this.
I was going for that light and airy feel and look. I vectored Ed and Al from 2 scans (part of a 2-pager). To me personally, the lyrics are kinda depressing, hence their expression. After a bit of playing around, I conjured up some airy waves that I thought worked well enough.
After listening to the song a bit and reading the lyrics, I came up with my own perception of what the song was revealing. How we as humans are a very volatile existence, and that we can't help but go along with the mighty tide (the way of life in our society) because we're bound by the limitations of being human. That some things you just can't help or change. So instead we should accept that it's the way we have to go, and try to enjoy what we can... to sit back, relax, and just breathe a bit...
I think it's something that Ed & Al would have had to think about at some point during the series.

i really like the colours and the melancholy feel of the wall. very simple indeed. but the wind looks a bit like hair, but i see wind, but sometimes hair, mostly wind though. i also would have liked to see more depth to this, maybe some wind effects coming in front of all and around him. nice execution none the less. cheers. +fav.

the whole piece is excellently made . from the thumbnail , I thought that ed and al kind of looked pasted with the wavy clean bg , but when I full-viewed ...its awesome and nice blue shades really makes the whole thing blend in . very good job on the vector. fav
