I'm not the greatest drawer in the world. I know that the proportions are way off...well, mostly everything. However, I was very proud about how the wings came out, and hadn't ever gotten wings to look that good before. I absolutely love how his hair came out, with the shine in it. That was very fulfilling seeing what I'd had in my head come to fruition on paper.

I did this piece almost a year ago, but I found the file on my computer, and thought I would submit it here at MT. I originally did this piece for a contest being held at animeonline.net, and Oracle Angel was the instigator of that contest/project, due to the contest being made to highlight (what else?) angels. lol. ;)

I'm not so much as looking for help with this, but constructive criticism is appreciated. Just keep in mind that no matter how much you want me to improve something, I probably won't be able to do better. Since my skills at drawing people are stylized and I can't draw a life-like human to save my life! Thanks for looking!

Material: Drawn on tablet paper, with pencil and pen outlines
Time: ? At least a higher number of hours, it was over a year ago, so I don't quite remember. XD

**Please Note** I uploaded a wallpaper sized version because the original scan was a lot larger (both in memory and size). I wanted to enjoy the artwork on my desktop, so I made this version as well. So since I made a wallpaper for my own enjoyment, I thought others might appreciate it in wallpaper form as well. :) Let me know if you'd like to see the larger verison.

Indeed those wings came out pretty nicely!

You mentioned in your description a bit about proportions, so I'm here to just lend out my 2 cents :P

Firstly, the human head is 1/7 of the total body height. The navel is about half way from head to toes- so I think this could help solve the height problem atm (I think his torso ended prematurely :))

The next thing is the arm- the arm span is about the same as the height- so one arm would be about 3 times the height of the head.

The face consists of 4 equal parts like layers on a cake. The first line you draw (indicating the first quarter) is where the eyes lie, the next the nose, and the next the mouth- so the mouth is a tad bit low- but it's nothing to worry about :)

Most of this was based on the Vitruvian man though (minus the face part :P), who is way too perfect for his own good X-P Hope to see more drawings ^^ I'm sure you'll improve- not that you need much of it-! Your drawing is very good ^_^b

You're drawing is very good. I can see how you were making depth the way you made the sword :)

You're right the wings came out really good.
And the hair looks great too.
Just like you said some little things about proportion may be arrenged, and it would be all good.
You also did a nice work with the shadows.
    Keep it up Elves!
