After recently completing Get Backers, I have been inspired to make a wallpaper of it. My original idea was to do one of Shido and Madoka, however, I had a bit of trouble taking a screenshot in VLC media player. So I gave up on doing a wallpaper on them. (Tis not a computer wiz ;__; )
I found some really nice images in Astuko Nakajima's artbook "Tsuya". I usually start of with getting the scan, extracting, and then thinking up of an idea that fits it. However, I worked backwards on this. I don't see a lot of wallpapers that include Infinite Castle, so I decided to have that somewhere in there. It was really hard to find an image of Infinite Castle, so I ended up drawing it from an episode and then making it in Photoshop.
Instead of having all the details I wanted, I ended up making it somwhat like a vector ;____;. So what I wanted to do was have Infinite Castle in the back, to have some perspective. I added buildings, inspired by the first intro of Get Backers, and trees. Then from there, I was searching for an image and this one really popped out to me.
Again, this is an experimental wallpaper. I wanted to try out the textures that I got from Tama-Neko's site. Just a reminder, I'm not a waller, I'm an artist :x So please, comments and critiques are really welcome because most of the time I don't know what I'm doing. :]

I just finished from seeing an episode, I love the
series so much I haven't finished it yet but I don't
want too, I love it too much XDThe wallie is very nice, perfect feel for Ban and Ginji.
The sky looks like it's raining, and the yellow
looks like lightning when it's suppose to be trees right?I would say there too slattered around but I get
the idea you were going for and I like it <33The bulidings and the Infinite Castle look great,
I love the whole look it brings to the wallie, really

about in the wallie the only thing is the yellow trees but

overall the wall looks fabulous but hmm... lol...
yea.. the lightning effect *I think that's what it is* on the lower part of the wall doesnt fit all that well...
but I do like the Infinite Castle background and the grungy texture...
I think you did a really nice job *for an artist want to make walls* XD
you should definitely do more of it in the future.. ;)
I'll give you a score of *9.35* and Grade AA for a nice try on making thhis wallpaper :) -

Nice wallie and the perspective works out well. The only thing is the brownish part or trees. I'm not sure what it is and how it relates but I think it would nicer without it or lessen the density near the bottom. The bg is abstract and realistic which works nicely. I like the way you did the buildings. The scan is good quality and was extracted well. The textures really adds to the mood. Really nice work~
