I love the Art of Leiji Matsumoto... So when Lord DREAM submitted A moment in Time, I started this wallpaper at the same day. ^^ Thanks again, DREAM for all the beautiful scans! They always make me want to make wallpapers... even though I actually wanted to get more experience with drawing on my own. Anyways, I enjoyed making this wallpaper since I put my own interpretation of the girl in the original scan in it.
It may be influenced of watching Fushigi Yuugi (I was browsing through the gallery at MT and saw that kind of flowers in one of the scans).
Anyways I was experimenting a lot with the background again. It's always the
most difficult part. I learned how to make my own pattern with this wallpaper...
I wanted to have something sharp as a pattern in difference to the softness of
the character, flowers and butterflies. I like this softness of Inner and Outer
glow...
My choice of colors... As usual I got attracted to black (I simply can't help
it)... but to make it look a little more friendly I decided for this lilac/pink
background color.
How many layers? I don't know. Most of the wallpaper was made in Adobe
Illustrator. I only used Photoshop for the pattern. I hope my wallpaper doesn't
look "trendwhoreish" already because that's NOT it! My submission for
the UA theme "Trendwhore" 
is
just about to start in the next days.
I'm quite sure I wanted to write more but it's really late here and I wanted to
go to bed hours ago. Unfortunately I made the mistake to reopen Illustrator...
I had to lower the quality a bit in order to avoid a file bigger than 1MB. 
Oh well I hope you won't find this too idyllic, kitchy etc. Some people most
certainly will... but I always like to try new things, new looks!

Very nice. I like the colors and the flowers and butteflies. Well done.
I really like the simplicity of all this, and everything goes nicely- the patterned wavey background and the flowers to the curves of the scan- everything is nicely harmonised

thing I didn't like was the white outer glow 
Mainly on the red part of the wall though because you could have seen the
flowers without the glow (on the black it was obvious you would have needed it
:P) But oh how refreshing

This is beautiful. She's almost radiant! Such stunning quality, and a beautiful image. The zigzagged lines across the back seem a little harsh, with all those miniature angles against the soft curves and swirls of the woman & the geraniums though. But otherwise this is all round a beautiful wall!
mistake your wall for an entry into the "trendwhore-ish project? Lady Regenbogen, that's just not possible.
beautiful job, Regenbogen. i appreciate all the hard work you put into this and it shows. really impressed how you took the artwork and make it your own. your personal style is quite evident. love the girl, vectoring, butterflies, and the patterns especially. actually i think i like the "lady" more here than the original artwork and that says alot.
this is easily the best Galaxy Express wallpaper i have ever seen.

Fabulous! Im totally not into the whole naked chick thing but, regardless Im diggin it, naked chick...flower arrangement...soft blankety lookin thing that i want...everything, in all its fluffy downy soft glory...her fuffyness has found its way to my desktop....I never thought Id ever have a naked chick or flowers as a background, let alone a naked chick and flowers...go with your bada$$-self
The thumbnail looks like crap, but that's one helluva wallpaper - I even like the outer glow that kuroimisa is not particularly fond of, not to mention the great vectoring skills of yours.
A big applause for the scarcity of colours - the more it is on my desktop, the more I love it!

I really love how unstraight the flower goes, you did that on purpose? I like that. Makes it look so original, doesn't look like you did that yourself. ^^ I love the glow on the wall too, makes it look soft, at least the black doesn't get too overwhelming with that.
