I suppose this is simplicity to the point of stupidity.
I noticed this little image when flipping through Amano's printbook. It reminded me of one of those Golden Age glamor shots and I just felt like vectoring it. I wanted to preserve the impression it gave me when I first flipped the page and saw it, so a plain bg here. Dug out some swirl brushes I downloaded off deviantArt a while ago, just to give it a little more life. Liked the whimsical look, but the corners were too blunt, so I ended up vectoring them, too. The flowers were vectored from another Yoshitaka Amano.
Comments and suggestions welcome.

Somehow the blank surrounding greyness just enhances Yoshitaka Amano's art (and your beautiful vector). Can't quite put my finger on what impression it gives me though...

it is not hard to impress, and sure as hell not hard to make a simple wall, but to make a simple wall that has style, and speaks nothing but style is where this wallpaper has succeeded in achieving.

'Sake dear there's no such thing as "simple to the point of stupidity" with you and your walls... *points above* as several people have said, as always... such a stylish, classy wall XD I love the funky text, the vectored swirls, the color contrast... flowers are a nice touch XD Negative space is so underappreciated in walls >D Another lovely and super usable/icon-whore friendly 'Sake wall on my desktop and in my collection makes me happy, yay! XD

Marvelous wallpaper! This women looks so delicate! The women enough is quite cool, but to add the design and flowers with the girl really captivates whole simplicity and makes this peice of art so exquisite! Great work! +fav!

well after DernierCri made the first Amano vectored wallcenturies ago, i got nervous that a string of highly inferior walls would follow.
basically im from the camp that feels Amano shouldn't be vectored; but the cover image from the "Poem" artbook doesn;t have any fine lines so i suppose its ok. beautiful vector..
im assuming the printbook you referred to is "Amano: The Complete Prints", ne pas?
your wall: yes it is a little bare but is complete noneoftheless.
