My Personal Scan
This is perhaps one of my favourite Tukiji Nao pictures. Howl looks dashing with his blonde hair, diamond-patterned jacket and magnificent lace up boots, and Calcifer looks far too cute to be a real Fire Demon.
It's a shame that the film did't go into more detail about the contract between Howl & Calcifer. Although there are scenes featuring the shooting stars, it's never really explained in full depth like it is in the book... So my suggestion to everyone is to go out and read the book! ^.^

Now, now, what a lovely scan you've got here! ^^ The character looks really sweet and the little demos is the cutest <3 I really love how well detailed this is drawn and I adore the pattern behind Howl. It's a really lovely artwork, except the legs, in my opinion they are too long, but the boots are great XD hehehe anyway, thanks a bunch for sharing these fabulous scans saikusa!

How this individual in a lace shirt, stiletto heel boots, baby blue painted nails and emerald earings can possibly be male in entirely beyond me. How girls go for such guys is even deeper in the realm of the inexplicable.

His boot are surely the central detail of image! He indeed looks feminine here, especially because the boots, but let's set androginy aside, ne? X-P
The artwork is very fine, I like his expression, a little bit melancholic, and the details at the background are so-o-o pretty!

I've read the book and watched the movie, and I just LOOOVE both Howl. Lol. But the book is much interesting as there's much more details. Though it's kinda long. xP

Oo so you have read the book, I was just going to ask you that X-P I read the book after the movie, and I was a like suprised how different it was, I think I would have liked to have seen Miss Angorian, or even Sophie's other sisters... and Michael was so young in the movie. Hehe I love it in the movie that calcifer is so kawaii! In the book he's a bit scary, but still lovable.
I have to say, in the book, with the doors and Howl's 'real' world... reading it back, reminds me of what they did with the end of FMA anime but anyways :)

This is an awesome scan. Howl looks so girly though...especially with boots. And Calcifer is just too darn cute! But, this is a very beautiful scan. I have to agree with you, the book explains in more detail the contract and bond between these two.
