Artist Comment
After a couple painting walls, I wanted to dive back into vectoring...so I decided to finally do a Totoro wall (never enough Ghibli cuteness around in my opinion :) )
I happened to see the new AP Vectorness walling challenge of "rain" and knew that it would work perfectly with what I had in mind
So here you have it...three adorable Totoros in the rain :D

For the background, I started with just the idea of the rain...then came the puddles, the ground and sky, the acorns,
and finally the bushes...I ended up trying to create as much detail as possible
I played around with different ways of vectoring the rain but liked this version best
(Final note: "shito-shito" is the Japanese sound word for a rain shower)
Now everyone...a giant awwwwwwwww of cuteness ;)

My Neighbor Totoro is amazingly cute, especially when we see wallpapers such as this one by cyd84. I love the colors and mood it is giving off. Yesterday, I actually watched this movie on television, so all the more reason to fall in love with this wonderful piece.

waaah ~ so many toro-sans in the rain ~ I looove the colours cyd , they 're dark yet still mannage to look cheerful .the rain looks really nice too ~ nice clean streaks of straight blue lines always make good rain effect <33 . the puddles r simply adorable . I don't really know why they seem adorable to me , but they r ~n though everything looks simple , I can still see how detailed they r and how hard u worked to accomplish it ^_^ . vector lines r wobbly looking and too too cute ~

Very2x cute! XD I'm tired of saying so long comments so I'll just comment a little. Very smooth & clean vector without jagged lines. I love the way you set the line thickness! Very amazing. The deep blue colors are also relaxing, & very calm. You did an amazing work on this piece~! I'll definately add this to my favs! Keep up the awsome work! ^.^

omg i must admit the thumbnail doesnt do this wall any justice! at first i was like oh totoro ill see coz i used to like this when i was younger, but when i opened it i was like WOW this is a very nice wall :D good job! definetly adding this to my faves :D

Very nice. You did a really good job with vectoring the Totoro(s?). The acorns are a nice touch too. Plus I think the colors in the piece fit really well. As if, surprise, it's raining! :) And, of course, Totoro is completely awesome. Very nice work. Makes me want to watch the movie again...
