Excellent detail that is neatly and cleanly executed without any extra messy strokes. I especially like how the gradient shading is done, using multiple strokes that are just enough to create the effect and nothing excessive, leaving the piece nice and clean. The phoenix is presented in fluid movement, which is enhanced by the very fluid lines used to create it. An overall excellent presentation of both technique and design.

The feathers look really good while being plastically shaded. Did you do it with ink?
