(Early) happy birthday fuku! Fuku's birthday is actually on Apr. 15th, but since he's going away, you know what that means... go spam his guestbook now with good wishes >D
I've had the idea for this wall sitting in the back of my brain for quite a while now, and I always knew I wanted to make this one for fuku since... well, he's definitely one of the sweetest wallers I've met, and he strikes me as a kind of "eyes to the stars" kind of guy. Think it's just me? >D Anyways, loves for you fuku <3 Hope you have a wonderful wonderful birthday :D
So yah, this wall was... pretty ebil. It's in widescreen for fuku because he's been sacrificing his self-interest for the happiness of others (I finally understand your pain ;_;) It's been too long since I extracted... I'm rusty x_x I drew and textured the walls from scratch (the slightly skewed perspective is intentional >D), then I started smudging like hell, but then I saw this tutorial on deviantART and thought X_X I might as well learn to paint properly, since I've wanted to for some time now. So the columns I drew and reference-painted off a stock photo from Stock.XCHNG... all photoshop default brush + mouse, no smudge, yay! Then I entered ebil hatred stage, which would be the usual except I also entered the laziness stage >_> So I resorted to photomanipulating the tower in the background off another Stock.XCHNG photo. Which was ok in the end too, since I've tried to photomanip before and failed miserably; another one of those things I always wanted to learn, so... I think it turned out all right in the end XD

Much thanks to nageni and crap for calling me to task on the walls' perspective; gid for reminding me that there's more than one way to photomanip perspectives >D; tates and gid again for calling me to task on the final details... <3 Sir Boing, for the techie inspiration (although I made this girly lol XD) and the encouragement via proxy... and lastly a *random* shout out to Shinn, who's got the perspective thing down :D

flyindreams is one of the most original artists here on Minitokyo, and this wallpaper is simply proof.
With Range Murata’s art, she has created a suiting background to a difficult scan. The glass is really nicely done, and gives this wallpaper a techy feeling.

overal i think this wall is just fantastic <33 it has a techy/modern feel to it, but it's still dreamy with those faded clouds
i think the extraction need a little touch ups around the hair parts, but it's no big deal~

The wall like the people before say it is wonderful [why im not the first one to comment? T~T ], the perspective is well done, the sky also blend nicely with the rest of the scene same as the building.
Just 2 things that i should add, the shadow look too solid and the other one is that the blend between the scan and the background could be better.Noneless, is a beautiful wall, and i should add it to my favs and use it for the next month gallery in AWR :3.

ahhhh, you should have moved those things closer to the girl (rearrange the composition) so they fitted in the 1600 canvas :_:

I'm really glad to see you did something else than vector for once, and well kudos to you for creating the funky glass, it looks hot. My favorite part has to be those... hum beige things, the soft texture and HQness of them makes me drool. Now it's time to laugh at the CN tower. BWAHAHAA! Toronto!
Well, maybe it blends in a little bit too much with the sky XD I can even see the clouds behind it rofl. Try painting it highlights that would make it stand out and textured like your beige things..
Other than that well I really like the soothing colors, you did a great job on this! -

Anyhoo! The wall is.. fantastic. The perspective, the glass (<3 the glass), the 'real' feel too it--- all great. The only thing I don't like too much is the dark, yellowish clouds. The Tower is dark too. Somehow that just makes the BG not look... right. Donno.
But, other than that, like I said before: fantastic wall.<3
