I just followed the original color scheme..and then added in a few touches.
The mountains came from this Juuni Kokki's scan.

Antique-Pop has a new layout!~!~!~ >_<b

anymore kick ass Amano walls from you I will take you off my watchlist, you are shining too brightly! *hides behinds sunglasses*

My word, awesome job yet again m8, with 1337 skills like yours in extraction, the perfect usages of the mountain to match the mystical feel of the whole scan, the feeling of looking at an old caligraphy artpiece from china, the feeling of nostalgia and a mix of magic, just plain great....I cannot say the least, you are a great waller.

Nice job blending the two scans together...I like the overall color scheme and wall style...nice choice of text although I wish it stood out more

I'm a fan of the horse as well although the rest of the scan is rather odd (but that's Amano for you :) )
The positioning of the horse cuts the wall almost in half (maybe a tiny nudge to the left?)...but overall a lovely job

    Awesome work as always.

  12. phamthuha Apr 14, 2006

XD ayaki has done it again. Simply gorgeous; the soft gradients fit the scan perfectly, and the texturing is beautifully done. & I thought those mountains looked familiar, lol.

oh ho ho the mountains in this blend so well with the scratchy amano linework! That was something I could never get a grasp on and you did it- this is one of the best ever- *claps* XD

  15. OracleAngel Retired Moderator Apr 16, 2006

What the? how did you extract it so beautifully? o_o
the scan really flows with the bg as always, though i wish the surrounding mountain with clouds could be like the image so it doesnt look weirdly odd but Amanos works takes too much to revector or draw so nice job nonetheless Ayaki! :P

Mhmm.. actually i really hate amano's art.. I can't really describe them.. and it's hard to make them into a naisu-looking wallie.. but you managed it so well.. *__*
love the composition and the things you added.. XD

  17. markjo Apr 17, 2006

A great colour for a wall - so mellow and optimistic...
You did an awesome job on the extraction of the art and blending it with the background - that is very hard with Yoshitaka Amano's art as it is rather sketchy in style.

  18. anji Apr 17, 2006

I always like these artistic scans. ^^
You managed to create some really nice color theme and textures for the background.
The Juuni kokki's mountain was a good idea, it fits well.
I also like the font you chose for the title. I wish the title would take more place though.
    Nice job :)
