Art based on one of my favorite scenes in the Slayers series - when Lina gets possessed by the Lord of Nightmares, during the final battle with Beastmaster in the Slayer's Next series.
Done in Jasc's Paint Shop Pro 8.1, I built it from the ground up in about 6 days (working on it when I could), referencing some screens of that scene. It's my first vector I've done, and PSP was a great as a tool for it's creation.
I really am proud of how the lighting turned out, the technique was actually easy to do. I made a layer of solid white-blue shapes with no outline thickness. I then copied the layer, and added a ton of thickness to the borders. Then I converted the second layer to raster, and did a big gaussian blur on it - producing the solid reflections with a glow around them.
