hehe, my first abstract one. this is one of the settings in Eternal Oblivion.

if you feel that this is familiar, that's because i refered to Fye's castle in Tsubasa Chronicle. but after that i gave it an extreme makeover, changing the wings, amd adding mountains and waterfall in the background. if you look closely, there's a giant sword embedded in the floating castle. it wasn't as good as the recent one, cos' i drew and colored this last year.

so, enjoy...

hmm.. interesting.. perhaps a more chunkier feel to the rocks at the bottom will give a more real feeling to it... but then again, it's abstract ^_^'... interesting there are no heads for the birds... :D

Your skills were still good even for last year's work. :D I especially like the idea of the giant sword being stab into the floating island/castle. It was also good that you used reference to help you illustrate a castle and give you some experience on drawing a castle structure. It's still good work Julian-kun. ;)

Wow, this is an old piece, but it's great nonetheless. The whole idea is remarkable. And the sword stabbing through the floating island is cool too. The gold ring looks awsome too. But the only thing I don't like too much are the wings, the drawing may have been better off without 'em, but hey, that's just my opinion. I just think the whole island is detailed, but then those wings don't have much detail in 'em.
Anyway, it's all good, and I like how the floating island is near a massive waterfall. This is really unique and original Julian. ;)

Ahah the city seems to be falling apart in a way right ? Weirdly enough, it seems to remind me of the Mont Saint Michel ( http://www.linternaute.com/sortir/diaporama_mer_vue_du_ciel/1.shtml and http://www.futura-sciences.com/communiquer/g/showphoto.php/photo/1590/size/big )
But maybe it is ^_^. I really like the kinda barrier of protection that's around the city, as well as the wings which are very well done (though they could use a bit of cleaning). The sword is nice, reminds me of ten commandements in groove adventure rave, but it doesn't look very sharp right !
Last of all, i like the little world sphere, but i think it looks a bit too anachronistic, maybe you should have made it look more 'medieval'-like. Oh and last thing, is it a dwarf city, or is the world behing huge.... I mean when you have a floating city and a landscape behind, you think that the city is very small, or the landscape very big (like it's be a 1 km high waterfall at least !). Maybe if you want to keep the size proportionnal, you have to make seen from above more... or have a stary / sky background if you keep that angle..... I think ^_^

Nice work you did julian! ^^ It looks really good. The wings are a nice detail, and they look pretty. The sword is another detail, kind of weird there but nice, it reminds me of Cloud's sword :P the ring is nice, with all those letters and the design of the city is neat, it's detailed and the coloring looks very good. I like the colors you used and the background it's okay, I like the waterfall ^^ Good job!
