this is the city of Heliopolis, the capital of the United States of Helios. well, this is one of the locations in my creatiuon Eternal Oblivion.
i drew the draft with pencil, then inked it with a fineliner. after that, as usual, color it with color pencils. if you look properly, there are two main characters from my other doujins:

it's not the usual Elle anyway,
enuff of the rant, could you all comment?

Nice. I like your colors.
it's beautiful.. i once thought of taking up architecture..
this brings back memories... kudos for the wonderful details.. !
oh my!
it's beautiful^^
this really caught up my attention and I don't regret for taking my time to see and appreciate it.
I'm adding it to my favs. I really like it^^
I like the proportion and perspective alot!:)
Oh, this is really impressing! The city is just so awesome, I love how you made the buildings and the coloring is just perfect! Not, to mention, full of details again <33
It must have taken ages to draw this ^^"
Well, another great job, another fav
Cool. It's detailed and the perpective is not bad.
Actually at first i thought it is a fanart of a poster from Final Fantasy XII
. I was well detailed and nicely drawn. The whole feeling of the
city is really nice, but i would like it better if there is some effect of the
sun (sry i don't really know how to explain
). Well i guess it is very hard by using just colour pencil, so don't worry
about it.
The perspective is simply awesome, i almost twist my head up to look at those skyscrappers !
I really like the details you've put into the city design, it's pretty original (even though the "airrailway" is often seen, but i love all the green stuff on the buildings, it's good to see a tech city with green
).
Also, i like some of the things that make a bit of an anachronism, like the
clock on the arch. Also, the fact that there are stills written signs on top of
the shops, and not some kind of trailer or screen with the flashy stuff and
everything.
The contrast between the apparent safety of the city (sunny, ppl everywhere looking healthy and all) and the fact that there are 2 armories in a single street is great as well... one can just imagine an other world at night or something, with a lot of small rivalries or bigger gang wars.
Finally, the only flaw here is that the characters are no detailed at all. Some of them even seems to have no arm at all !
Anyway that's a fav i'd say
And really great job, i'm bowing to you *bows*
wow, great perpective and great coloring. detail, concept all good. tech citys are always cool.
I agree with Anjhurin - it feels like I am looking up myself into your drawing! Great doujinshi!
I love the purple feel too, hehe, it gives a nice futuristic feel!
Fantastc work
Cool! I really like the view of the city Heliopolis. Everything is well drawn and the city is very detailed. I love the colors you choose. The blue and purple blend of colors has a refreshing look. Also the angling of the buildings looks extremely awesome. You always draw amazing concepts. Keep it up Julian-kun.
Awesome doujin julian! As others have already stated, everything looks great! Did you ever consider going into Engineering or Design? I don't really know what else to say, except +fav! ^^
wow thats some detail put into the picture. it must have took you long time to finish this. anyway you did great job with details and coloring. keep up the good work^^
nice! it was really beautifull city!
This is remarkable. Your work is extremely impressive Julian, the perspective, the coloring, the city itself just makes this extremely original. I can't say anything that hasn't been said already.
This is a must fav piece julian. Keep up the extremely awsome work.
awesome!
spectacular coloring!
good as always..
i can see a bright future ahead of you.",<
wow! its soo excellent! so very very very excellent! i love how perfect the proportion is and how decorated and colorful it is!
simply wonderful! I like people who done those kind of drawing by themselves!
I got immediately hooked on this since just looking at the thumbnail. It's urban-crazy, and that's just my preference *clicks fingers*
This is just really cool. I love the use of the black liner and the limited use of colours. It really gives everything the whole synchronised/ consistent look. The level of detail in here is quite amazing, and the whole thing is just ... really, excellent.
I'm loving the futuristic outlook and everything.
Just wonderful.
Great work!
Woow this is really great julian! ^^ The perspective is fantastic, I love it. The design it's like the poster of Final fantasy XII. The amount of details of the city is impresive, you did a great job. Those skyscrappers and the sky are nicely done. The coloring is very good, I really like the colors you chose and shades are really well done. The windows are well done with the shading and all. Good job! ^^
very nice...
a futuristic city with all the bells and wistles...
nice perspective of the landscape indeed...
the coloring looks very good and hmm.. very fine detailed too...
good job.
gives u a Grade AAA+ for the concepts. ^^
Wow... this one is REALLY good! I could definitely imagine seeing such a location in a Roleplaying Game... *lol* And I would love to enter and explore all the little shops, restaurants etc. The technique you used looks amazing! I have no talent at all for drawing locations... I always only draw characters. And I admire people who are able to create images of landscapes, cities, etc. I think you should draw more like that! It really makes me want to "enter" the picture and walk on that street. *lol*
hey- i noticed your artwork on my friends Lady Regenbogen & Misa user-pages. so i decided to scope out your artwork for myself...
first off i love cityscapes - in particular those in science fiction. i.e cyberpunk...
i love the cityscapes you have drawn here- extremely detailed .. a little more practice and you'll be hanging out with Shirow-san..
my crit: is as Anjurin pointed out "the only flaw here is that the characters are no detailed at all". just work on that detail- and after viewing your online portfolio - i know you can do it.
seriously impressed here-
+ fav
+ watchlist
adieu
nice.
