Hi, It's Cyn one more time :)

As some of you know, one of my first wallies I made, was one of "Forget Me Not". Browsing again the scans in that section I found this beautiful scan and I couldn't resist to wall her again ^^

Umm...the past months I had some creative and imaginary problems :P so my wallies weren't very creative LOL XD But with this scan I inmediately imagine a city view from the top of the building she is sat down :)

I decided to mix or remake the moment in the sky where the evening ends and night begins...up high like in an airplane you can see the two sections, down you the sun reflecting some clouds causing a beautiful sunset and also up you the night with stars and sometime the moon :D

About the city, well the buildings are insired of stock photos, but I redraw them, cos the photos where too small to photomanipulate with a color overlay or something like that. :P

I tried to make a different kind of city, not only with beautiful buildings and lights...I wanted a city with construction machines...don't ask why! that's why you can see a crane XD

Also instead of birds an airplane :) yeah...I thought that will give an original touch and also will fit better with the rest of the BG ;)

About colors...the sunset is insired on another stock photo, the night sky came out from my mind.
Tried to use colors that could fit well with the scan.

Finally the Primary character of my wallie, the cat! is the cat from Shin Megami Tensei, which you can find here also in the misc scans ^^ I have the idea for the title of this wallie because of it! But it's also a song from Uggly Kid Joe named: "Cats In The Cradle" (and a sylverspoon), but I changed that to (and a city view) LOL XP Also to fit the wallie!

Well that's all for this one! As always hope you all like it, take care! ^_^

It seems your a professional, huh. :D

  9. toxictea23 Mar 26, 2006

look awesome (only referring to the background) but something that looks majorly wrong is the scan. Another scan choice would of made the wallpaper look better especially since the bg and the scan dont really match at all, ie; colors, theme, etc

I have a couple of nit-picks about this:

One, the buildings. Since the moon's so bright, it should be reflecting some light off of the buildings, so a little bit more silhouette-ing (sp?) of the buildings would give a more realistic feel to the city, as well as some more detailing of the roofs.

Two (and big one) the plane. (You did say plane, not glider- a glider wouldn't be nosed up that steeply, or it'd lose all of its airspeed and be in big trouble fast.) Basically, every powered aircraft in the world will have some sort of running lights on, especially at night. So if you wanted to elaborate the plane a little bit, you could put red lights on the top/bottom of the left wing, and green on the bottom of the right wing, and a really bright white light on top of the vertical stab, brighter than the moon, even. (anti-collision light) Also, some flight controls sticking out would help it too. I'd be glad to send you some pictures of aircraft- just PM me if you're interested.

Sorry if I'm too specific- I've just worked around aircraft for 6 years now ;)

BTW just for gee-whiz- the lyrics to the original song: http://www.lyricsdepot.com/harry-chapin/cats-in-the-cradle.html

  13. animefairy Mar 26, 2006

Wow...this wall looks so pretty! >_< The swirls in the sky kinda looks weird and the moon is so bright and big. 0_o The colors are very beaituful! XD Keep the work up, Cyn! ^_^

  14. devilgurl Mar 27, 2006

great background i love it! the font you chose goes with it well. i like the effect you put on the sky but i think you should have kept the plane out though since it looks sort of strange o.O then again its just me.

  16. starrliteangel Mar 27, 2006

i love the scan, but maybe the airplane is kind of random?

  17. Lachette Mar 28, 2006

ill have to say that this wall is really cute. and im saying this as a guy. very creative, and colorful. you could have done a little better with the extraction (the sythe thats in the moon, and the backside of it, a bit of hair near the building) but otherwise really pretty. i love it. +fav

  18. moonlightwatcher Mar 28, 2006

Cool! I really like how you even added a plane in the moonlight! (Am I right about that?) *adds to favorites*

  19. Akira-san Mar 31, 2006

Hmm, very nice work... I have this scan but never had a nice idea to wall it... So, let's comment about the wallie xD
The clouds are well done, but I think the transition of day to night might be a little wrong, but anyway It looks very nice! Also the city and the plane looks nice too. And this mystic effect in the sky was a nice touch, and as I know is a part of your style, hehe.
I liked this wallie very much, added to favs ^^v
    Good work, KittyCyn!

  24. kaitouThea Sep 16, 2006

Hey =D Amazing work! I love it ^_^

You simply have to tell me, how did you make the planet and the stars? ^_^ I'm kinda lousy at that, trying to learn it, care to give me some helpful tips? ^_^

Anyway, amazing wallie, I love the stars and the moon (obviously) and the buildings are so cool!
