This is my competition entry for GEOMETRIC (contest... err... 9?) for TheUnderappreciated Group's Fortnightly Competitions
I'M ALIVE. OKAY. Right.
This wallpaper has been sitting on my computer for a while and I just came across it again when I was looking through my Japanese Comickers folder... and then realised that it fit the theme well.
Uni's like a living and strangling grapevine so I don't really have the time to make something look good and look new... so I had to dig this one out. Originally it was only going to be on devART but then I deleted it because I felt it wasn't "my own work". (it's mostly Shunpei's work, really -_-)
I did some tracing over, colouring and extension (because the scan wasn't wide enough), did some brush work and added in a neat frame. Looks kinda elegant when you set it as a desktop. I did edit it a little since I submitted it to dA so it has a little difference (let's see if you can spot it... not that you should). Oh and yes I have a Shunpei doujinshi sitting around needing some colouring. I know it'll never be done.

completely dead... I really and honestly don't really have to time to wade through notifs... so I apologise :( When
this whole Uni thing and everything untangles, hopefully I might start getting active again.

i love the Comickers art-book it was easily the best $25 i have ever spent on an artbook..i remember seeing this on deviant
usually i don't like walls with a border but this looks absolutely great on my desktop and i dont even need to move icons around as i made a custom Amano wall yesterday..
excellent job extending [continuing] Shunpei's artwork- her art is not easy to wall..

Mm.. Shunpei's art is amazing. You did a great job of working with such detailed art. The textures are nicely applied and fit very well, and the border works nice with everything. Great work kuroimisa!

gosh, that's a fabulous scan. Shunpei has such great style :D
i'm not sure if i like the texture over it, unlike bromithia up there; the color of it doesn't quite blend right with hte rest of the piece i think. great job on the extending and such, though.

its an amazing piece, and I love what you did to it including the texture and border, but Im not sure a scan add-on qualifies enough for a highlight, I guess with such crap being submitted everyday the staff must turn to the best pieces that stand out, like this one. +fav

u truely have captured elegance in a box,
usually adding a border around a picture was always annoying for me
however for u'r piece it works beautifuly
the whole thing is just soo nice, and well put together, wonderful work ^-^ -

Well... the art is very good indeed. And I kinda liked your idea on having some borders but I guess the right part of the border is kinda bigger than the left part. It would've been better if they are of the same size since this'll enhance the beauty of the wallpaper.

yep....uni as in university right? ~_~ it can get a bit hactic ... but u'll get used to it soon. -_-a it's almost done for me as i'm in my 4th year...but but but...school is like a greenhouse....really can't imagine 4 years can pass by so quickly. *sigh* -

I think you are always quite active here Misa, I just came home from university and I feel so tired now... @_@ I will use this wallpaper on my desktop now. ^-^ So yes... it's a fav... of course!Oh and I almost forgot... it's for UA geometric... I must still finish mine... I have had no time to continue my wallpaper. Maybe I should do that... ^-^

Hmm, I was curious about this wallpaper. Because normally I despise borders in wallpapers. But in full view it actually works, making it look like a professional painting. Nice job in making a wallpaper with Shunpei's works, you really enhanced it. It's simple and elegant.

Yeap, a beautiful geometrical and yet complicatedly intertwined wall from Misa. ^^ Now I felt the itchiness to try on Shunpei's. >.< Hm... let me see.. what can I add to this comment... besides the scan is the hard part and you did it so well, I also loved the hmm.. colours for the background. Looks soft, and it looks nice as a frame. ^^

It must have been a tough job working with such a difficult and detailed scan, but it was definitely worth it.
Well, the wallpaper fits in very nicely with the geometrical competition - you have a good eye for great wallpaper material. I am also not a fan of borders for wallpapers, though it kinda fits here.
A finders keeper, for sure. -
