inspired by disturbed- down with the sickness. title comes from the lyrics, "The world is scary place/now that you've woken up the demon in me"
the goal was to make light look as evil as possible, sorta like one of the shinigami. i recreated ryuks earing, stitched the mouth shut, etc etc.
the "death note" at the bottom i vectored from a page i scanned from
the manga, and ryuk from the corner of this scan: Death Note : How To Read 02 by
Tatsuya
the main image is from this scan: Guardian of Death's Door - Light
by Marissa one of the most used in the death note gallery, but I used it
differently (and actually before several of the others, this was in the sandbox
for ages)
the font used for the title is called fluoxetine, found it on dafont.com

hmmmmm.
I like the hair, generally. i'm not too sure of about the use of the highly angular brush around the eyes there, and in general around his face - there's probably a better way to darken those parts. I also like the background, the useage and placement of the crosses is a good thing.

I'd like to confess, when I saw the thumbnail the first thing to come into my mind was: this looks like a wallie gone bad.
Well, I must say I was wrong- a bit
Making people look evil is generally done through the manipulation of backgorund- which you did very well. I'm rather fond of rough tectured backgrounds.
I agree on shiningdays's (sic) comment on the shading on the face and eyes- although they do achieve the evil effect..Ha. What bothers my most is the mouth.. The way it's done right now catches the audience's attention straight away- which can be both good and bad. Did you ever see the poster for that Silent Hill movie? getting rid of the mouth compelety can up the "evil" factor alot- but that's just my personal opinion.
Well you did well...he definately looks creepy *shivers* Light's got the wicked look going on most of the time...but well goth reject seems to suit him ^_^
