I was getting bored of working on my Arete entry, so I decided to take a time out from it. I ended up finding out about the SMT: Persona series last night, and was pointed to the website of the newest Persona game (P3), as well as a 17 minute trailer for it. The art direction in the trailer was really incredibly stylish, and made me want to do a wallpaper... ^^

So, I essentially decided to try to do something in a sort of similar style to the first minute or so of the trailer, which was what really impressed me. I think it turned out pretty good, don't you? :) I'm still going through something of a super-simplistic phase, but I think it suits the subject I addressed. :D

EDIT: I decided that the pure white figure just wasn't doing it for me, so I changed it to the full color edition. XP

EDIT2: Haha, I'm going to submit this for UA's next competition. Something about geometry, nyaaahhh. But it isn't terribly Euclidian. Euclid = SEXAH!

Go UAer's, go!

Love the use of dots...love the stylish design in general :)
The black/white with red is dramatic and clean looking
The text is great...I really love the latin...placement and use
The only thing I'd say is maybe make the outline on the center text a little wider to make it more distinct from the dots and the figure...especially since that's the most shaded region

Oh and going to nominate it for simple-ism :)

very nice the simple style makes it more appealing but I agree with cyd84 the dots need to be in the background layer or something to make it stand out from the dots since it blends in too much with it so you cant see it well. But the wall has peaked my interest about the game and whoa a 17 minute trailer ok does it give away the entire game plot XD

Keep up the good work and do you best with Arete :D

good concept with a little of the blur effect in the middle..could've done better with a bigger scan though and the circles are a little sharp and jagged around the edges..nevertheless the quality is ok :)

Great composition, though I'd probably do away with the "cogito ergo sum" text since it doesn't fit with the flow of the rest of the wall. The rest I really like (:

Since you asked.. it currently doesn't fit with the flow because it's just floating around outside and draws our attention far away from the character and the main design whereas the rest of the wall seems to be somewhat grouped together. If you want to keep the text, you should probably move it inside the circle under the "persona3" text to the right of the character, or somewhere else more "attached" to the rest of the scene. I think a tech-ier font wouldn't hurt either ;)

That's pretty damn cool. I think the text is perfect. You have to pay attention to the wallpaper to see it.
