spent about an hour/ hour and a half total on this, it went pretty quick. most of that time was spent on the shading. Based on an image in volume 5, had to figure out what the top part of the hair looked like, the reference cuts off in the middle of the forehead. all .7mm HB mechanical pencil.

wow. freaky. i've never watched akira before, so i dunno. i think the way you drew the forehead... kinda looks like he's half bald. you see, the hairs' root was lined in a circular position. maybe if you could change it to a straight one. if you don't understand then never mind, it's tough to explain through text.

eheh there's some nice detail in that one... though i believe his hair is more like vegeta from DBZ (you know with the kinda "V" shape on the forehead... that's what i thought when i watched the movie... maybe it's a bit different in the manga though).

I really like his face, i think you've done a pretty good job with shading, and also all those veins or stuff, they're pretty realistic.
One thing, one of his eyebrow (his right one) seems thiner than the other ^_^'

    Anyway good job :)
