Well, at first this piece was going to be my second try at Photoshop, but as I went on drawing and drawing I got the
feeling black and white was somehow more ... fitting to the mood of this drawing, so I decided to come back to my
origins and do the whole piece with pencils ^^
Where did I got the idea from? Well, I was walking by the coastline, watching the sea and the beach and the rocks ...
and then when I went back home I started drawing this. The dress was inspired by a dress I saw while browsing one mode
magazine (don't ask which one, it wasn't even mine).
Why do I even keep drawing the sea, when I just can't do it properly? :x
This is the first time I've spent so much time in just one single drawing. Reason: The pattern of the dress and the
rocks @_@ Damn the day I decided to draw that pattern x_x At first it was going to be just plain but I thought it would
look cute ... and it does, I really like the result, it was just a pain to do >.<

I know I've changed my style a bit on this one, I'm just trying a more 'realistic' style rather than manga style, I'm
trying new things, I hope you all like it anyway.

Aw, another realistic type drawig? I'm so envious, I just can't draw realistic humans, and your's looks so great! It's almost look like an old photograph!
Since I'm not too good at drawing poses and I always make mistakes with body proportions, I just can't help you in that, (though I think it looks perfect XP ) Her face ish really pretty! <3

oh wow this is SO beautiful! Wonderful really. Love the realistic look. The outfit looks great, the hair looks great, and actually the whole girl looks great! Nice job with the rocks and the water too! I just really love it because I think it looks fantastic! Well awesome work for sure!

Whoa.... i truly must say i appreciate the dedication, and i share your pain for drawing that !
It's truly awesome, i mean the rocks are so 'real', they've got all those little rock-like things (duh ^_^'). I like the birds, though it seems they're in some kind of fog (which might be the case). The sea is pretty well drawn, except maybe in the back, where it meets the rocks, the transition is just a line, where in the other parts, you've shaded it in a way that makes the sea-rock transition smoother :)About the character, she's got a very childish face, but you've put great detail everywhere. The dress is.... just beautiful, but i wish i'd see a girl go on rocks barefooted with such a dress ;). But it fits the drawing very well, i like this style.
Shading's perfect etc etc...Of course, it's a fav XP
Peg chan : *and there, you can see a girl with a 500 euros dress, she seems to be enjoying the weather, and she's lost in thoughts. Now moving on to the surfers...* ahah jking

Oh my Peg, I can't say you overdid that one cause I think it's superb... actually, your new trials in more realistic made me feel not so lonely in MT, heheh I dunno if you got what I meant....
anyway, you absolutely kicked ass, first because I was going to submit a drawing of a dress with patterns, after because your drawing i really awesome!
I dunno, but I guess yur drawing would loose it's sensation and feeling painted in PS, even with water color...
Well, proportions are great, and that hair is fantastic, we can see the dress gave a lot work, but her face drew more of my attention, i'ts very beautiful peg-chan!

it's a very realistic character, peggy! i see countless amounts of details on the clothes, must be a pain to do them all, right? well, i don't think i can achieve that much detail, i would be dead before i finished it, but i think that the rocks could have more detail... well, pretty good work, peggy!

Such beautiful pencil shading and drawing techniques. :D I just love the entire drawing and really enjoy seeing beach sceneries. The dress and the young lady looks so elegant.
