This one was first inspired by this scan >> Roses & Girl, and got further stimulus from the manga chapter it's titled after.

Cleaning up the scan pieces took a while. The original chara image was very grainy, so I spent a lot of time smudging, while trying to keep it from looking...smudge-whored. The bottom edge of each of the roses had to be reconstructed, so lots of copying, rotating and adjustments there. Part of the mountains were reconstructed, too. There were also some color adjustments for the Akari's shadow and the mountains.

The water was done with a plug-in, so that should have been the easy. However, it took me as long to get the waves where I wanted as some people take on entire walls. I am so slow T_T The clouds were taken from various stock photos and compiled to create the sky. Overlaid a texture to enhance the colors...and camouflage the less-than-perfect cleanup. ^_^'

I originally planned a flotilla of roses in the foreground but, after trying a mock-up of that, I went back to my usual mantra of less is more.

Comments and suggestions welcome.

Hm...it looks okay and the way you smudged her looks good but I would suggesting that maybe you could smudge the roses a bit more and that you add a little more "depth" into the ocean unless that was the way it's supposed to look. ^_^' One thing I really really like is the sky! It looks so so good...:) So calm and relaxing! But of course the rest of the backgrounds also very nice! :D

The bg is just awesome. Really. Love the color and the texture is awesome. The scan seems a bit too smudgey, but it suits the bg nicely. Excellent job!

The background is awesome! I love how you did the clouds and ocean. The ripples look realistic. I also liked how you smudged the character. Telling from the background, It looks as if there's a hint of a breeze and it's really calm. Keep it up! You have a fav from me. ;)

it's very pretty. It looks very simple. It's a little strange though how shallow the water at her feet is though. It's understandable, but with no land in sight around her, it seems like she's in the middle of the lake.

wow so you really did it blu-san >_<, the water is really great but not the greatest XD. love how you merge the girl to the water sooo much >_<. and the sky, awesome as ur other *__*, love it so much i can never make sky such beautiful as that. so sure this one got my fav, how wonderful >__<

So nice ^0^ This girl is cute, the sky is soft, the text is so pro >__<! But why the moutain and the building are so sharp and not enough feel of distance? I do believe this wall will be perfect with it ^_^
But nothing can be perfect ^_^ So sure you got my fav, sweetie >__<! Thank thank you for your hard work *hugs*
