I'll say this: I love the pic itself, however when it comes to UMP, it seems kinda... odd... I mean, why would his clothes change?
The swords idea is original, but seems a little unfitting...
However, I'll repeat that the drawing itself rocks... and I'm just one of the UMP members, so it's not like what I say goes.

Oh i like the way you drew the greek letter, it's very stylish ... as Drak said and as i said in the UMP, i don't think the sword idea is appropriate, but i think we could maybe keep the different letters (and the way you made them) for the scrolls ne ? Like it could be on the scrolls !

As for the character himself, i think the hair's a bit too long, i'd have seen him with neck long hair... but the long white hair could go well with wint .
The armor is nice, and since he's (maybe) the smith's apprentice, it could be good on him, though it looks rich... maybe something less luxurious would be better.

Oh and for colors, maybe you can just submit your stuff as you wish to color it, then we can make changes

The design of the armor and the math symbols you decided to use are a unique idea. And you actually inked the drawing pretty well.

Very neat job Julian-kun. I see what you mean about Rain having similarities with Sephiroth (seem like you are a Final Fantasy 7 fan too ). Though you are still really original with the sword idea and your style is original.

Your inking looks cool! And I like the concept of the swords and their symbols. Very potent concept and even potent with it being made with ink. I guess it is the stark contrast and that is what brings it out. I like how you add some variation with tight lines in the white and darker areas in the black.

heh! the swords look more like cloud's unique fenrir..cloud and sephy combined? not bad! the swords look ordinary though. still it is nice.

oohh very nice on the pose and overlapping forms. I do agree he looks a lot like Sephi, and the swords remind me of some Drakengard monster, but ah well I like your idea for the sowrds being different with the symbols, it'd be interesting to see this guy animated. As for inking... hmm, maybe some shadows under the hair on the face? What're you using, tech pens? Nib and quill are best for getting varied-thickness lines
